Treyarch has taken the first couple of steps towards fully unveiling the multiplayer offerings of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and it did so with a trailer featuring footage running on a PlayStation 5. Every snippet of gameplay you see in the epic, three-minute trailer above is taken from Sony's next-gen console, and it looks outstanding. So too does the new take on multiplayer that Treyarch is promising with the latest entry in the blockbuster franchise.
Focusing on Deniable Operations, these will be large-scale multiplayer matches that seem to be so much bigger and better than your typical combat bout from previous Call of Duty titles. We'll be taking to the neon streets of Miami, assaulting a boat in the North Atlantic, claiming a downed satellite for ourselves in Angola, hitting the ice in Uzbekistan, and manning various vehicles in the Ural Mountains.
You'll be able to sample all of this intense and chaotic action first on PlayStation 4 with an open beta on 10th October 2020, or pre-order the game and gain access two days prior. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War itself launches on 13th November 2020, but don't forget that you'll need to purchase the cross-gen version to qualify for the free PS5 upgrade.

Looks and sounds really fun.
Looks decent, a lot like MW though. Hoping there are maps in Vietnam.
Invade countries, get routed and treat veterans with disdain, now in 4K with up to 64 players!
Just all a bit silly really isn’t it
The water interaction is *****. I'm watching jackfrags playing live. Is he on pc or console? Either way it looks very bland.
Dang it, I knew there wouldn't be any dolphin diving since they're going to be cross-play with MW's Warzone (last I heard). I think that's holding the game back a lot...they can't deviate from MW's template because all of the loadouts and gameplay mechanics have to be cross-compatible.
I wanted more on Fireteam. Also, it's nice to see the Create a Class system allow for far more freedom than we've seen with the Pick 10 system.
I don't play multiplayer but I hope this game will have alternate / second single player zombie campaign like black ops 3
Haven’t played a cod in years. Do they still have decent SP campaigns? If so I might bite this year...
Looks pretty decent but Notorious by Duran Duran came out in 1986 not 1983
Holy heck, this seems really fun! Good old Black Ops was so fun back in the day...hope this one is something close to it!
Looks great! Maybe I will buy it after a long hiatus from the franchise.
The gameplay I've seen looks a bit poo...it strikes me as a watered down Battlefield 4, & really lacks the impact MW had with gun sounds.
Still... I'll wait until the reviews come in.
I think it's step backwards from MW2019...
Didn't see the depth MW has...
History repeats itself... again we have an excellent Modern Warfare followed by a crappy Black Ops. Nice to see some PS5 footage though.
More like CRAP Ops - I'll stick with MW 2019
