You’ll be able to experience Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War first on the PlayStation 4, as Activision’s ongoing partnership with Sony continues. Those who pre-order the first-person shooter digitally will get five days early access to the sequel’s online stress test, although physical copies will not be eligible for the same promotion.
The beta will eventually be made available to everyone, so even if you don’t want to pre-order the game you’ll have an opportunity to try it out. Those of you who do pre-purchase a copy, however, will also get access to the Woods Operator pack, which includes classic character Sgt. Frank Woods and an an assault rifle weapon blueprint for use immediately in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone.

Huh huh huh
You said "wood"
Huh huh huh
Good for the Sony crowd. I did notice that the trailer was captured using the PS5. It helps with the annual COD crowd to associate the game with PlayStation. Subliminal messaging and all that.
I am sure the exclusivity with Sony will last untill sale figures from the PS5 and Xbox Series X start rolling in then Activision will redo the game exclusivity with which console is selling better.
@Tasuki of course. You will find Activision where ever the money is. If they smell money they are there
@Tasuki so they’ll be staying with Sony then.
I don't get exclusives like this. All it does it just piss off the other console owners (remember when it was the other way around?). It's not like someone with an Xbox or PC is gonna say, "Gee, this convinced me to buy a PS4 so I can play this game 2 weeks early!"
Sure, Sony gets a bump out of it, but in the end, there's no reason everyone can't all play at the same time. We're all on the same side, all of us gamers, regardless of platform. This anti-consumer stuff is dumb. At least there's crossplay in COD, so gamers can all play together, any way they want.
@MarcG420 If they sell more then the Xbox Series X then probably but if Xbox Series X outsells PS5 then probably not.
@Tasuki don’t be foolish, that’s not going to happen.
@MarcG420 You never know. The 360 did beat the PS3 up untill the end of that generation. The only reason PS4 beat Xbox One was because of the disastrous launch of the Xbox One. If it weren't for that they would have been pretty close.
@Tasuki After hearing Phil Spencer say that they don`t care about selling more than PS5 ? How can you believe the Xbox SX will sell well when it`s own Head doesn`t believe that will be the case ?
@Tasuki actually that’s complete bull crap. The ps3 released like 15 months after the Xbox 360 and outsold it. Meaning it sold more units (Millions) in over a year less. Don’t get me wrong, it was much closer than the current gen but Sony has never been beaten by MS.
Edit: also, you comment about the launch being the only reason is absolutely wrong. They’ve had gamepass and the most powerful console for a while now and neither has helped them to increase their market share much.
@PeakyBlinder It's not up to Phil Spencer or.any of the uppers, it's up to the consumers. And I never said that I believe that it will sell better then the PS5 or vice versa.
I can honestly give a crap about which sells more or what I am not one of those elitetist fanboys. What it comes down to for me is price and which console out of the two has the better library to suite my tastes.
I was just saying that Activision will probably look at the sales numbers and if possible either keep the exclusivity rights with Sony for CoD or move it too Xbox One which ever one sells better. They did it in the past, during 360 they were exclusive with MS cause that sold better then PS3. This gen they went with PS4 cause that sold better then Xbox One. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Activision does the same thing go with whatever sells better.
