There’s not much to say about this Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 launch trailer, other than that it’s pretty darn gnarly. You haven’t heard that phrase for a while, have you? That’s because this is a remake of two classic skateboarding titles, so we thought we’d bring back some period appropriate language. Cowabunga, dude, etc.
No but seriously, this is a neat launch trailer. It shows off the visual enhancements that Vicarious Visions has introduced, but it’s also eager to remind fans that this is the THPS franchise that they remember. We’re rather looking forward to rocking our Airwalk cargo shorts and mastering our shove-its all over again, and you can read some of our early impressions through here.

One thing why lock the demo behind a preorder dont they want more sales?
@Flaming_Kaiser not only that, but for those of us who preordered, the demo is very lackluster ! 2 min runs at a time , not enough to get your groove going . I’m not sure what their strategy was with this. Either way, counting down the days until it’s released, looking forward to it.
@theberrage Isn’t the whole game 2 minute runs? Pro Skater 1, 2 and 3 are all timed and this is a remake.
If they let players build and share skateparks, and the online play looks good, I'm buying. Soundtrack #1
Can’t wait to play. Pre ordered it, Demi was too short
So is it both games combined into one super game or is it when we start the game we get to choose either 1 or 2 in the main menu? I'm still getting it, looks great.
@nessisonett
Yeah, it was. In the demo though it's just a plain 2 minute score attack run. No objectives or anything which is a bit of a bummer. It does feel good to play though and gives a glimpse of how they're giving 3 styles, one that plays the same as THPS1, another that plays like THPS2 and a third which is basically all the bells and whistles that would be added later like reverts, wall pushes, button press trannies etc. It's pretty cool stuff.
@MetalGear_Yoshi Ahhh I get what you mean. Really appreciate that about the styles though, I don’t have the cash on me to pre-order but this is my most anticipated game of the year and I just got even more hyped!
I think the reason the demo is structured that way is because it’s aping the original demo for the original game from the late 90s, which was also two-minute runs in the Warehouse. Agree it’s a little too short though
On topic, really cool trailer. Excited to check the full game out!
@Flaming_Kaiser to lock a demo behind preorder is kinda odd...kinda defeats the purpose of a demo, right?
@ellsworth004 I would think so
@nessisonett Its still stupid
@theberrage Activision insane people.
