Grand Theft Auto 5 Gta5 Ps4 Playstation 4 1

An updated version of Grand Theft Auto V is confirmed to be coming to PlayStation 5 next year, but could one of the upgrades it sports over the current-gen edition be a VR mode? That's the current speculation as the studio who put out L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files states that it is hiring for a "AAA open world VR title for Rockstar Games."

The quote is sourced from Video Game Deluxe's LinkedIn page, where it says: "Having finished the critically well received L.A.Noire: The V.R. Case Files we are now gearing up for a new project, a AAA open world title in VR for Rockstar. 2020 marks our 7th year of working exclusively for Rockstar in Sydney and we are excited to taking on this ground breaking project." The developer is hiring for positions including senior programmers, designers, and animators.

Since Grand Theft Auto 6 is still supposedly a long ways off and Red Dead Redemption 2 appears to be sticking to the PlayStation 4, the only realistic option we have here is GTA V. Are we about to get a PlayStation VR version of the entertainment behemoth? That would certainly justify an updated version of the game and don't forget that the current PSVR model will work with PS5. Although, we wouldn't say no to a new and improved model to really take advantage of the potential this project could carry. Do you think that GTA V really is getting a VR mode based off of this post? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
