PlatinumGames has been in the news cycle a fair bit recently, and it seems it'll be staying that way for a while. It first opened up its Platinum 4 teaser website, which hints at four major announcements from the celebrated studio. The first of these was of course a remaster of The Wonderful 101, which enjoyed huge success on its Kickstarter campaign. Now, it seems the developer is gearing up for the second announcement.
According to Gematsu, an upcoming issue of Japan's Weekly Famitsu magazine will contain the next big news from Platinum. The issue is due out on 27th February. It's possible the studio will make the announcement itself beforehand, but either way, we should learn all about this mysterious news by the end of the month.
The news could be almost anything at this point; no one could've predicted the return of The Wonderful 101, after all. What do you think Platinum's next announcement will be? Speculate away in the comments below.

I would love for another shot at mgs revengence. A weird ol game, but the closest thing I've played to feeling like wielding a lightsabre!
Nier automata 2 or nier/drakengard remaster with nier automata gameplay
Even though I have a switch , I really hope there is someway Bayonetta 2 will be ported to other platforms . I much perfer to play at a stable 60fps than 40-50fps.
Fingers crossed for Bayonetta 3 news
The return of Mad World. That was a pretty fun Wii game at the time. I would love to see that game make a comeback.
@J2theEzzo Agreed. Great game! Some of the best boss music in any game ever too. I'm not sure Konami would be into the idea though.... they don't seem to like any good ideas
I’m guessing an announcement for the remaster of the first Nier.
I would love another Nier game or a new IP from them. What I really want is a sequel or story DLC to Nier Automata because although I liked the ending, I didn’t feel like it was complete. I still had questions.
@ArcadeHeroes It will not happen. Nintendo paid for that game and funded its development, plus if anything is to happen to that game it’s up to Nintendo. Bayonetta 2 actually runs at 60fps. Just get a Switch and you’ll be good bro.
I hear the are shutting up shop after their recent failures!
@J2theEzzo You should try out Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order then, you actually get to play as a Jedi with a lightsaber!
@KidBoruto think you're missing the point slightly. I've played (plenty) star wars games, and none of them come as close to actually giving you the freedom of which limb/finger/appendage you want to slice right off an enemy in slow motion. Revengence did, however, which puts Raiden's katana above any star wars game for sheer joy of application and freedom to cut people and things into pieces.
@J2theEzzo Gotcha! I've never played that game before, despite owning it on PS3.
Looks like fun though, hopefully it gets ported/remastered to PS4 or PS5.
@KidBoruto it's a bit quirky, in typical metal gear style, like some dramatic mercenary themed opera, but the action gameplay is top notch!
