After many years of waiting, Dynasty Warriors 9 is finally here -- but it's proved to be a divisive release. Critics appear torn on the title's open world and the new systems that it brings, but if there's one thing that we can surely all agree on, it's that the game runs like crap.
As mentioned in our review, the title suffers from a multitude of technical problems, from minor bugs and graphical glitches to broken quests and -- perhaps most notably -- a hugely inconsistent frame rate. Even on PS4 Pro, the game struggles to keep things steady, and we've heard horror stories from several standard PS4 players.
Fortunately, the latest update for Dynasty Warriors 9 promises to improve the frame rate across the board. It also adds in graphical settings for those who aren't playing on PS4 Pro. Hopefully patch 1.03 improves things rather dramatically.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for as well. I'm keeping my eyes open for feedback from PS4 players, especially on the regular PS4.
Watch Jim Sterling's review on the game it's absolute crap what they have done to the franchise in fact as a fan from the PS2 era of games I think they should have not bothered and maybe just remastered the old ones
When do they plan on patching in the fun?
@thiz He just has a lot of good points why the game is worse then any previous Dynasty Warriors game which i agree on. The guy has a lot of cool video's but i dont agree on everything he says.
@thiz I didn't say "Don't play this game cause Jim Sterling said it's bad I nearly mentioned that his video says it's crap and he's a massive DW fan. And he says about s it bad points which is a lot and how it's looks like a rushed game looks like it to me anyway
@Nakatomi_Uk Mind the language please.
