"This next one will blow your mind"

While the E3 show floor is only just about to open in sunny Los Angeles, the press conferences are now done and dusted for another year. With an entire industry’s hopes and dreams pinned on the shoulders of a handful of organisations, the cynicism from some message board pundits is already flooding the web hard. Alas, we felt that each firm had its moments, with French publisher Ubisoft certainly not being an outlier.

As expected, the company’s press conference hinged heavily on tentpole sequels such as Assassin’s Creed: Unity and Far Cry 4, but it also had a surprise to share in the form of the rebooted Rainbow Six: Siege, which demonstrated a return to the more tactical focus of previous entries.
