With the recent announcement of PlayStation 4 firmware update v1.70, Sony also unveiled SHAREfactory, a nifty little application that will let you edit together the clips that you've recorded using the console's robust sharing options. While we reckon that this could become a bit of a cash cow for the company, the prospect of hundreds of Octodad fail videos flooding the Internet obviously has us quite excited.

Handily, one of the talented folks that worked on the software just posted a trailer created using the application that flaunts many of its features. And while the whole thing is a bit twee and cringe-worthy, it does give us a pretty good idea of what we can expect from the full experience. Which is to say, we can anticipate a sea of star wipes and silly captions.

Some of the editing tricks include fancy transitions and effects, as well as what appears to be a feature that will let you lay speech bubbles and other visual gags over the footage. Oh, and you can also superimpose PWND over your clips of inFAMOUS: Second Son if you've ever had the burning desire to do that.

Will you be making use of SHAREfactory, or are you a strictly solo gamer? Do you look forward to the countless clips that are bound to be soon making their way onto YouTube? Let us know in the comments section below.
