There’s already plenty of reason to believe that PlanetSide 2 is coming to the PlayStation 4, but Sony Online Entertainment has added a little more fuel to the fire by telling Now Gamer that the console will be a stellar choice for MMOs.
“I would expect that with all of the amazing features that have been announced for the next PlayStation, that [the PS4] will be a great platform for MMOs,” said executive producer Larry Liberty. The comments more or less mimic those of studio boss John Smedley, who hinted last month that the system will be able to run its ambitious online first-person shooter.
Sony Online Entertainment has actually had a lot of success already on consoles, with the PlayStation 3 version of DC Universe Online proving the most popular. We expect the studio to have some big announcements lined up for E3 in just over a week.

With a headset being added on every PS4 it might be true but I still feel that with everyone having a mic this might end making every match full of 9 year old calling me noob or hacker without reason.
I really hope to see Planetside 2 on the PS4. I've always wanted to try the game, but it would require me to upgrade my PC.
@Epic Yeah, I have that concern also. But that's what the mute button is for.
@TheRealBatman it's pretty good on PC, there's just not a real large player-base in NA, at least, so you kinda just run around and randomly warp to firefights. Even if everyone gets a PS4, I foresee having the same or similar problem. It's a good game, but the maps are a little huge for how few people are in the server with you (me). It seems destined for a controller over mouse&keyboard
I really want to see another MAG game.
I tried Planetside 2 for a bit on PC and... didn't enjoy it at all really. Not my kind of thing. But it's a great idea to bring more free to play/MMO games to PS4
. MMO's are the biggest money pit, Ill stay far away from paying those monthly fees. If this is what the ps4 is going to be all about , count me the @#$! out
Chill out dude, they aren't only doing online mmo, it's one of the MANY different games it will be doing, besides if you bought five games in one year, it would cost more than a yearly subscription to an online mmo, so which is the real money pit?
