Over the top

If you’re still reeling from England’s premature exit from the European championships this weekend, then we imagine the last thing you’ll want to read about is football. Still, EA thought it was appropriate to reveal the UK release date for the upcoming FIFA 13 today, so here we are. Don’t worry, we keep seeing Ashley Young’s penalty rebounding off the crossbar too. You’re certainly not alone.

Anyway, the game itself is out on 28th September in the UK. Those of you that pick it up on launch day will be upgraded to the Ultimate Edition, which bundles a bevy of extras, including 24 FIFA Ultimate Team Gold Packs. These will be distributed on a weekly basis.

You’ll also get 10,000 Football Club credits which can be spent on celebrations and attribute boosts. Finally, if you reserve the title at GAME, you’ll net access to the Adidas All-Star Team, which includes 23 of the world’s top players. Not bad.
