In a lecture held at Stanford University in 2004, Sony's Richard Marks can be seen demoing early versions of Sony's Playstation Motion Controller (00:25:00) and a simple Breakout game (somewhat similar to Microsoft's demoed Ricochet) using the 3DV technology (1:07:00).
Speaking about his experience with researching the Playstation Eye, Richard Marks concludes the 3DV technology isn't accurate enough alone for something like golf.
