This exceedingly rare material is needed to fully upgrade Jin's sword, but it's not something that you'll just stumble across as you adventure through the open world. Ghost of Tsushima - Where to Find Gold

There's only one place where you'll find Gold in Ghost of Tsushima: Mongol war camps. And we're not talking about the smaller camps, either — you're going to have to take out the empire's biggest strongholds in order to secure some Gold for yourself.

Upon completing any of the larger camps, you'll be automatically rewarded with some Gold. Alongside Iron and Steel — common components that you can find just lying around in settlements and camps — you'll be able to upgrade Jin's sword so that it does more damage.
