Dying Light 2: How Long Does It Take to Beat? Guide 1

How long does Dying Light 2 take to beat? Following claims from developer Techland in the lead up to launch that the game will take a seriously long time to complete, we're here to set the record straight. In this Dying Light 2 guide, we're going to reveal how long it takes to beat the game.

Dying Light 2: How Long Does It Take to Beat?

How long it takes you to beat Dying Light 2 depends on how much time you spend exploring and the difficulty level you select. The times we share are based on the normal difficulty mode.

If you're purely focusing on the main story and ignoring all side content, you should expect Dying Light 2 to take roughly 30 hours to complete. If you then throw in all optional content — side quests, collectibles, and map clean up — then the game will be in the region of 40 to 50 hours long. Increasing the difficulty will make combat tougher, thus increasing the chance of dying. Therefore, you should expect the game to take longer to complete the harder you make it.

Dying Light 2: Does It Have New Game+?

Dying Light 2 does not have a New Game+ option after beating the game. Once the credits roll, you're able to reload your save and freely explore the map, cleaning up any content you missed. This includes all side quests, collectibles, and map icons. If you want to replay the game and try for a different ending, you'll need to start a brand new game with a new save.
