Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Trophy Roadmap: How to Get the Platinum

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Trophy Guide: All Trophies and How to Get the Platinum 1

There are 56 Trophies in the game, which are broken down into 48 Bronze Trophies, 5 Silver Trophies, 2 Gold Trophies, and the Platinum Trophy. In this next part of our Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Trophy guide, we're going to cover whether there are any Missable Trophies or Difficulty Related Trophies.

Are There Any Missable Trophies in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33?

There are 2 Missable Trophies in the game, which are related to actions you need to take at the very start of the game in Lumiere. You must get the Old Key during the festival scene to unlock a gate to a Journal, and the Mime before here is missable, as you don't return to this part of the game later on.

Besides those two Trophies, you're able to return to the world map by reloading your last save after completing the main story. This gives you full access to every location in the game, letting you mop up any Collectibles you missed and tackle the end-game content.

There is New Game+, but you start up a new playthrough via a separate option at Camp. This means that nothing in the game besides the two aforementioned Trophies is missable.

In regards to A Peculiar Encounter, which requires you to defeat the Mime in Lumiere, this Trophy is missable. However, you can simply start a new game and complete the requirement in five minutes, so this is still extremely easy to unlock.

There are no Difficulty-Related Trophies in the game; you can unlock every Trophy on the easiest difficulty. The normal option is recommended for the main story, but if you want to lower the difficulty once it is complete to get through the end-game content quicker, then feel free to. You won't be locked out of any Trophies.

"Endless"

Silver: Reach the top of the Endless Tower.

Lost Gestrals

Bronze: Find all of the Lost Gestrals.

À On

Bronze: Beat the Serpenphare.

  • The Serpenphare is a boss located in The Continent. It's a flying dragon found in the sky between the Boat Graveyard and White Sands. As you need to be able to fly aboard Esquie to reach it, this Trophy can only be unlocked in Act 3.

Sprong

Bronze: Beat Sprong.

  • On The Continent world map, you'll eventually encounter a huge enemy patrolling the ocean. This is Sprong. Defeat it to unlock the Trophy.

Noir et Blanc

Silver: Solve the Painting Workshop's mystery.

  • There are three entrances to the Painting Workshop spread across The Continent, and all present a platforming challenge. You'll enter and talk to the Faceless Boy to be given either the Light, Shape, or Heart of the Beast. Take this item to the main area of each Painting Workshop by climbing down the obstacles in front of you. Having done this in all three locations, you can face the Lampmaster and unlock the Trophy for defeating it.

Monoco

Bronze: Reach relationship level 7 with Monoco.

Maelle

Bronze: Reach relationship level 7 with Maelle.

Lune

Bronze: Reach relationship level 7 with Lune.

Esquie

Weapon Upgrade

  • You can start upgrading weapons when The Curator joins your Camp. You can use Chroma Cataclysts to upgrade weapons, and doing so the first time unlocks the Trophy.

Weapon Mastery

Bronze: Fully upgrade a weapon.

  • The maximum weapon level is 33, which you'll need lots of end-game upgrade items to reach. Grandiose Chroma Catalysts will take you up to level 32, and then you'll need a single Perfect Chroma Catalyst to reach level 33 and unlock the Trophy.

Lumina

Bronze: Consume a Lumina point.

  • You'll unlock the ability to consume Lumina Points once The Curator joins your Camp. You can then use the Colours of Lumina to start the process and earn the Trophy.

Expeditioner

Bronze: Reach level 33.

  • You should reach level 33 naturally as you work through the game. This Trophy will unlock as you work towards others.

Trailbreaker.

Bronze: Reach level 66.

  • As you start to work through end-game content after the main story is concluded, you'll reach and surpass level 66 naturally.

Survivor

Bronze: Reach level 99.

  • You'll need to grind your way to this Trophy; we recommend using the Endless Tower in the post-game to reach level 99, setting the difficulty to easy to make the process as quick and stress-free as possible.

Overcharge

Bronze: With Gustave, use a fully charged Overcharge that Breaks an enemy.

  • By attacking, using your Skills, dodging, and parrying, you can charge up your Overcharge ability as Gustave, up to a maximum of 10 times. Use his other Skills along with your other party members' abilities until the Break bar (the yellow one under the health meter) is almost filled up. When it gets around to Gustave's turn, use Overcharge on the enemy and Break it — filling the Break bar up completely — to unlock the Trophy.

Perfect Flow

Bronze: With Lune, consume Stains 4 turns in a row.

  • Whenever spellcaster Lune uses a Skill, she produces specific Stains. Think of these as orbs, which you can see displayed inside the weapon on the right of the screen when it's her turn. Her Skills produce Stains and also consume them for added effects on the Skill you're about to use. You essentially need to get a streak of Stains going from one Skill to the next where you produce a Stain that can be consumed on your next turn, and then so on and so on for four turns.

Synergy

Bronze: With Maelle, use Percée on a Marked enemy while in Virtuose Stance.

  • Maelle's battle mechanic sees her switch between three stances depending on what Skills you use: Offensive, Defensive, and Virtuose. To set this action up and unlock the Trophy, perform an attack that puts Maelle into the Virtuous Stance (Fleuret Fury, for example). Now, have another party member applied the Marked status effect to an enemy. Now, when it's Maelle's turn again, you'll be in Virtuous Stance and be able to use Percee on the Marked enemy to unlock the Trophy.

Maximisation

Bronze: With Sciel, consume 20 Foretell on a single target during Twilight.

  • Sciel's combat mechanic revolves around placing amounts of Foretell on enemies. By reading the Skill descriptions, you can learn how many Foretell is applied to an enemy under certain circumstances. Apply 20 Foretell to an enemy, and then use a Skill that consumes them all at once during the Twilight phase.

Perfection

Bronze: With Verso, reach Rank S.

  • Verso uses a combat system where he moves up through the ranks, from D through to S. This Trophy is easiest to unlock in a boss fight where you'll be in the same battle for some time. Continue to use Skills to boost your rank, paying attention to their descriptions and bonuses if you use them in accordance with your current rank. Eventually, you'll reach rank S and get the Trophy.

Wheel Control

Bronze: With Monoco, cast an Upgraded Skill 4 turns in a row.

  • Monoco's combat mechanic revolves around a wheel and a cursor, and whichever selection it lands on upgrades the Skills of that colour. To unlock this Trophy, we recommend equipping Monoco with as many different coloured Skills as possible to cover whichever colour the wheel cursor lands on. The wheel spins every time you use a Skill, so match your ability with the colour it lands on four times in a row to unlock the Trophy.

Carreau Parfait

Bronze: Beat the Chromatic Pétank.

  • The Chromatic Petank is found in a field on the eastern edge of The Continent, and you can only access the area once Esquie learns how to fly. Like any other Petank, guide into its holder and then defeat it in combat to get the Trophy.

Feet Collection

Silver: Acquire all of Monoco's skills.

  • Unlike the other characters in your party, Monoco doesn't have a traditional skill tree to acquire abilities from. Instead, he takes them from the enemies you face. When at a Rest Point, you can see all the skill slots he has, and you need to fill out this screen to unlock the Trophy. Monoco must be in the three-person party to acquire a Skill from an enemy, and if they possess a new Skill for Monoco, there'll be a red icon above their health bar. As long as Monoco is in the party when you fight them, you're garuanteed to get the Skill at the end of the battle. None of the enemies that drop Monoco skill are missable; they'll respawn.

Expedition 33

Bronze: Unlock all playable characters.

  • This is a main story Trophy that automatically unlocks once you meet Monoco in Act 2.

Chroma Proficiency

Bronze: Use a level 3 Gradient Attack.

  • In order to use a level 3 Gradient Attack, you must first unlock one. This is done by reaching Relationship Level 7 with any character, and then you need to have them in your party. Next, find an encounter that'll take you a while to finish, such as a boss battle, and charge up your Gradient Attack by using Skills. Once the meter reaches level 3, perform the Gradient Attack and you'll get the Trophy.

Connoisseur

Bronze: Find all 33 music records.

Paint Cage

Bronze: Break a Paint Cage.

  • You'll encounter the first Paint Cage in the Flying Waters area, and you must shoot the 3 Locks in the area to break it open.

Time to Spill Some Ink

Bronze: Break an enemy.

  • In order to Break an enemy, you have to completely fill the yellow meter underneath the health bar. This can be done through standard attacks and using your Skills, and will happen early on in the game.

Professional

Bronze: Defeat a boss without taking any damage.

  • In order to unlock this Trophy, you'll need to master the parry and dodge windows of a named boss, preferably one that appears early in the game so things are a little easier. By perfectly parrying and dodging, you won't take any damage and can counterattack to deal bonus damage of your own. Then, when it's your turn, expoilt the boss' weakness. We recommend making a save just prior to the encounter so you can learn the fight and then do it perfectly the second time around and unlock the Trophy.

Curious

Bronze: Witness an optional scene at camp.

  • When you've made Camp and The Curator is there, interact with the campfire. You will get the option to check on the others, which triggers optional scenes and unlocks the Trophy.

Legend

Bronze: Unlock Esquie.

  • You'll unlock this Trophy as part of the main story, once you've concluded the events taking place in Esquie's Nest.

A Peculiar Encounter

Bronze: Defeat the Mime in Lumière.

  • During the Prologue at the start of the game in Lumiere, you reach a large town square beyond the stalls you're funnelled through. To the right is a small stage with some dancers performing, and the Mime is to the right of it. Defeat the Mime to unlock the Trophy.
