I've had my fill with Monster Hunter, but it's great for all those that felt left behind after MH World.
Did anyone pick up Football Manager Touch on Switch? I'm thinking about picking it up for World Cup season.

@Fight_Teza_Fight All those that felt left behind being specifically the Switch owners but only western Switch owners at that.
And a lot of people have picked up FMTouch on Switch (As opposed to...er....the 0 other platforms FMTouch is on...) judging by how its never left the damn eShop charts -.-

@YummyHappyPills That’s good to know, thanks. I’m used to Football Manager on PC. Not expecting the same game, but for £30 I’ll be expecting a comparable experience.
Going to look up some reviews first.

I'm really loving Tropical Freeze. I just got done with world 4, which is probably my favourite world so far because the underwater levels are actually great in this game. Not only that, but when I started hearing Aquatic Ambiance come on in the background in the first level, I seriously freaked out. I love that song! And they used it for multiple levels as well. Amazing!
Even my favourite level in the game is in world 4, which is the secret level 4-B. It felt like a Metroidvania level where you go around and try to find one key after the other in order to unlock the main door of the stage. It was a really creative level, I thoroughly enjoyed it!
It's definitely the best DKC game as well. Much better than the SNES trilogy.
It is a really good game but I like Country Returns more. Both are immensely better than the original Rare games, I never liked them. Only the first one a litrtle bit but not that much.
I am in world 5 of Tropical freeze now and imho it is a lot less good than the previous ones. I expecially liked world 2 and world 4 but 1 and 3 were enjoyable too. Country Returns was way better in almost everything for me except the fact that there were no underwater levels and it was a big downside for that game.
I used to be a ripple user like you, then I took The Arrow in the knee
The water levels in Tropical Freeze feel like they take more from the water levels in Rayman Origins/Legends than from the terrifying and disorienting water levels in the original DKC trilogy. That applies to controls as well.
I'm completely withdrawing from a lot of online Nintendo discussions. It's just become mentally draining.
The constant back and forth screaming about Pokemon ever since it was mentioned. The constant moaning about the 3DS simply existing. The Wii U ports that "Are a slap in the face to Wii U owners and overpriced and no one wants these" comments. The Virtual Console screeching back and forth clashes, the Online service, cloud saving, backups, controller problems, specifications, complaining, complaining complaining endlessly.
I'm tagging out. It is genuinely exhausting to even just read all the comments. Even on NL the comments are just clashes back and forth and it's just....stop.
Suck it up. Play what you can afford, play what is offered to you. Just...shut the hell up.

Sure, when I see Villager summon a demon by holding a gun to their head and pulling the trigger to battle the inner demons of the other townsfolk in an overly anime setting, that'll be a departure in a completely opposite direction.
Persona wasn't the best comparison point given most people jump to something else entirely before thinking "Deep character relationships". Honestly I'd have said something akin to a full visual novel would be better.
Unless you want Tom Nook to summon a giant phallus riding a golden chariot if you're late on rent, I mean whatever works for you.

@KratosMD I'm aware of how they are structured. I did play P3 back on PS2, when it released here in 08 (I didn't have a PS3 until 2010 so I had to buy SOMETHING!!) and I honestly don't remember much of it outside of the flashiness. The visual novel parts were there but it fell from memory, probably as it was so subdued in this sea of...Persona 3 being Persona 3. You know, people melting and all that at the end sticks out a bit more than the conversations you have XD
Kick final boss though.
Assume what I have and haven't played like you always do. Never change Kratos.
Animal Crossing could certainly do more VN style things. Missing persons, unpaid rent (Gotta have Nook be a jerk) and honestly they could even integrate it with the mobile game acting as a home away from home for the characters. One for the more traditional AC experience and the Switch game (An eventuality with how AC sells) being a newer more interaction based affair.
AC has always focused on the community of characters.
The catch is Nintendo has exactly two studios capable of at least semi-decent storytelling. One is currently relegated to Donkey Kong/MIA and the other just released a huge JRPG. I don't think the AC team is particularly capable of intricate storytelling. Nintendo does world building better than actual characters. Every time they have tried it's fallen a bit flat....a bit like voice acting.
I quite like that idea. @KratosMD I haven't played Animal Crossing since the over hyped gamecube game. It was okay but not my cup of tea. A mix of a P4G type story and a variation on social links would work very well.
Mario Odyssey has grown on me a lot over the last month. Having a twenty minute run mobile has really aided the slow burn of enjoyment. If it was on PS4 it would have joined the played once or twice and binned brigade of games (Batman, The Last Guardian, Dragon Age, Momongas pinball) but the pick up and play nature of it is fantastic. You always have that one more go feeling.

@Fight_Teza_Fight THANK YOU! This is a ridiculous price, almost like someone made a mistake. Same thing over £90 on Amazon; and here it's even cheaper than standard edition.

@KratosMD Neat idea! Animal Crossing would definitely benefit from deeper interactions and something similar to social links could be a great way of keeping the player engaged. New Leaf is one of my favourite 3DS games, but I'm not sure I have it in me to play an almost identical game in the series again. One thing I particularly enjoyed in New Leaf was the dialogue, especially when they would randomly spout crap I'd taught them!
Eh, Animal Crossing is fine the way it is. The lack of a clear structure, explicit goals, etc. is part of the laid-back charm of the series. With that said, there are definitely ways the formula could be improved. I think New Leaf was a massive step forward in quality for the series, and I'd hope the Switch entry would be similar in that respect.
Also, it's sort of like Metroid in that we haven't gotten one in long enough that i think radically changing up the gameplay would do more harm than good. There's clearly a desire for a traditional Animal Crossing experience on modern hardware.
