@BearsEatBeets Guehi is right footed, so I am sure a player at his level will be fine playing on the right. I doubt Slot will want to move VVD. Don't forget we lost three attackers this summer, so did need reinforcements in that area. It is a good 'problem' for Slot to have.

@RogueCooper Good times ahead. I usually get a sub after the second international break, as i feel I get more games for my bucks that way. Hopefully i can get a deal like I've been able to the last few years.

@JohnnyShoulder Definitely a good problem to have. I'm curious to see what his preferred starting 11 will be.
Checking on deals it seems Guehi isn't 'done' yet. It's all agreed between the clubs but Palace aren't processing it until they get replacements in. Could fall through yet.

EDIT: Apparently it has fallen through ☹️. Maybe Liverpool can get him cheaper in January.

@BearsEatBeets Yeah I heard on the radio a bit earlier. It's a shame and leaves us a bit short in that department. Hopefully Gomes can stay fit and the 19 year old we bought is good enough.

I think there’s an argument to be made that we had one of the worst transfer windows of all time. I’ve never seen a team openly sink itself for no reason like this, we have millions in the bank but no movement. We would have gotten CL football if the board had bothered to look into signings before deadline day, especially Dolberg who we dithered on and now is going to Ajax. My only theory is that they’re going to sell the club.

Daniel Levy has stepped down from his role at Spurs.

@JohnnyShoulder Can Ange get rid of our board too? Or just give us Frank and Spurs can have him back.

@AgentCooper Alarm bells ring for me when ever I hear of a manager that is reluctant to change systems. It is one of reasons Liverpool did not go for him.

West Ham looked terrible even with 11 men and I fear for them, Spurs were in a different league.

Burnley looked decent and defended so well. Need a striker. Not impressed with Liverpool again, a bit better in the second half, and deserves the win in the end.

We were terrible (Kasper needs taken out back like Old Yeller) but I think the Celtic goal being disallowed tonight is the worst VAR decision I‘ve ever seen. They invented a handball. It fully flies up to his head, the spin of the ball doesn’t change.

@nessisonett The handball rule, along with many others is a farce. It is like roulette everytime the ball goes near an outfield players hand.

@JohnnyShoulder I just don’t get it. There’s video evidence that it doesn’t hit his hand. Everyone, the commentators, both sets of fans, both sets of players and those who’ve seen the replay know that it’s not a handball. VAR didn’t even send the ref to the monitor, they just said it was a handball, he believed them and it was ruled out. That’s beyond just a wrong decision. The replays apparently weren’t even shown at the stadium so fans at the game only found out about it when they went home. There’s only so much an apology from VAR will do, if the replay was shown on the screens in the stadium then I reckon players would have walked off the pitch.

I can't see us qualifying for the World Cup but I'd love to see it. Might depend on who we play in the playoffs?

Mikey Moore scoring in the Old Firm derby brings me great joy.

@Kairuuu It was less him scoring and more the fat slob in goal barely moving as it trickled in. Some players need to know when to retire.

@nessisonett I have to agree buddy, he basically lay down in slow motion. Certainly interesting in the SPL this year!

@Mostik In the grand scheme of things, Hearts winning is probably a good thing for the league. But it’s the way in which we’ve collapsed that’s the issue, we have one of the largest cash reserves of any club in Britain, more than almost all PL teams, and yet we’re in a state of managed decline from the owners. I have no idea what they’re doing. We didn’t replace any of the players that we sold, half our players have pulled pork for hamstrings and we have strikers with cardboard boots. And then we have a manager playing suicideball without any players to put into that system.

@ZeroE AFCON’s been brilliant. Been trying to catch as many games as possible. Normally I’d be rooting for any of our players off there but both guys have been rubbish at club level so I don’t have much hope for them internationally 😂

Mostik

@nessisonett I didn't realise you had such good cash reserves that's bonkers given the lack of incomings (that I'm aware of). Looks like both of us are now managerless, ground hog day for us Utd fans

Mostik

nessisonett

@Mostik Is it bad that I’d genuinely take Amorim up here? Still plays the suicidal 3 at the back that we were playing, but seemed to have a bit more humility and willing to change. As an outsider that did watch quite a lot of Utd games under him, I thought that Amorim was a vast improvement on Ten Hag and that current squad wouldn’t really perform for any manager. Think we both need a complete rebuild, but your fans will be used to a few attempted rebuilds by now.

@nessisonett As a Utd fan I agree, he isn't a bad manager just perhaps a bit rigid with his formation but we knew that was his way from the start and you are right he did change during games just wish he had gone to a back 4 earlier when we didn't/don't have the players for 3-4-3 but the problems at Utd are deeper than just our formation. It's disappointing as I could see progress albeit admittedly slow. He was great with the players and media IMO always honest just a bit stubborn for those above so we are back to square one!
He would do a good job for Celtic as he will for any other team he takes next I'm sure.
