@Mostik There’s always Maresca too, we pumped Chelsea 4-1 in his second game in charge back in July ‘24 though so I’m not too sure! It’s been a weird season for a lot of teams, but I think a lot of the fan unrest at almost all clubs is a symptom of the country’s general malaise. Nobody is happy in their daily lives so they take it out on their teams… who then perform worse under those attitudes. Add the clubs’ boards all being in it to line their own pockets too.
@nessisonett Martin O'Neil is back then! Always found it a bit strange that he wasn't there until the end of the season, as the club clearly have not done their homework on a new manager!
Find it bizarre that Maresca and Amorim moaning about not having enough control. Surely they would have known all this when they signed there contracts?! They were both first team coaches as far as I know, not managers.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@JohnnyShoulder A lot of fans wanted him until the end of the season in the first place. I think at this point, his legacy is more than secure. We aren’t expecting to win the league with how badly things have gone so if he does win it, then he’s up there with Jock Stein. If not, he tried his best and he’s given more than a lot of other managers have. It’s mad to think that we got to a European final the last time he managed us, only losing to Mourinho’s Porto (who then won the Champers the following season) cause it shows how different the footballing world is now. Someone like Larsson just wouldn’t come to our club now, honestly not even a Sutton or Hartson would come up here these days. He’s got a transfer window to work with but I’m a bit resigned to how unattractive our league is compared to most other European leagues.
@ZeroE It was crazy but I reckon they didn’t forfeit them because they know fine well that Senegal were right to be aggrieved due to the goal being clearly legitimate and the penalty being a 50/50 for me. With Morocco being hosts too and several decisions going their way throughout the tournament. It’s all very odd. I just assumed that leaving the pitch was automatically a forfeit. Clearly not.
@JohnnyShoulder Haha I watched the highlights there this morning. I was told last season we had an easy run to the Europa League final? Bodo away isn't for everyone, I suppose!
Excellent to see some genuine desire in the Man Utd squad again, though I'm not getting too excited just yet. At the very least it's decent to watch again 👍
Keep On Keeping On 👍
