Thought Brazil were good value in the first half but they've disgusted me in half two. They're worse than the Dutch in the last WC Final - foul, foul, foul, foul. Watching their players scream at the ref if one of them is touched is hilarious. I hope Germany hammer them. Oh and has anyone seen Neymar? Is he even in the ground?
Been known for days now. Barca made him apologise which has made FSG (our owners for those who don't know) furious for not mentioning us and talking to them behind our back. The deal will be £80m cash or £50m and Alexis Sanchez. Personally I wouldn't take their money but report them to FIFA. They're already in trouble for dodgy buys and now the entire world knows they're doing it again but FIFA just bury their head in the sand. A few days after they sign him FIFA will reduce his ban, you just wait and see...
"Oh smeg. What the smegging smegs he smegging done? He's smegging killed me."
I really don't think much of Brazil. I've always been critical of Luiz but that was a superb free kick, but that's all it was.
Silva out with two yellow cards. Neymar looked pretty badly hurt. You cannot tell me that Brazil are favourites to beat Germany without those two. If I was Germany, I'd be rubbing my hands together at the prospect.
But hey, I totally called it! Said Brazil would edge it by the skin of their teeth at 2-1 and they did.
And good lord, does Fred actually do anything? Did he even touch the ball in the entire 90 minutes? I'd love to see him get past Neuer.
He touched it twice at the kick-off, one more time than Neymar touched the ball all game. Sadly I can see them winning the World Cup now and it will be the worst team to ever win it.

I think that's Brazil pretty much screwed. He's seriously their only decent means of carrying an attack. Oscar is good too but I can't see him alone doing much to Germany's defence. All signs point to them going out in the semi final, I just can't see them beating Germany in any department.
Yesterday Germany proved that they can win games, but they will make the minimal effort to do so. In Neymar Brazil lost their biggest star yesterday. We will see what happens.
As usual, I wish Belgium wins, but I guess Argentina will.
I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.
I'm gonna take a gamble on Belgium today. I think they'll just squeeze a win. I hope it's a good game though. For the sake of predictions (and probably looking horribly wrong after the game) I'll say...
Argentina - 1 Belgium - 2
As for tonight's game...
Netherlands - 3 Costa Rica - 0
As much as I like Costa Rica, I think Holland will run away with this one by the end. They'll need Robben at his best to do so, but I just can't see Costa Rica having enough to beat them. Kinda hope I'm wrong though!
Even if Holland win the penalty shoot-out now I hope Van Gaal gets an absolute slaughtering for switching his keepers. Absolutely pathetic decision and shows what an ego maniac he is with no care about making players look like idiots. Be warned United fans on here, there is a reason he isn't thought of so fondly by teams he's managed.

The German's make as much effort as they need to. France were poor so Germany were able to play at a canter.

I dunno, it seemed like a pre-planned move to me. Perhaps he was putting on a brave face, but the keeper that came off didn't appear despondent -- makes me think he knew that was the plan all along.
Having said that, I do agree that it was a bloomin' bonkers move.
The substitution was definitely planned. I thought it was pretty clear that Krul had - for some reason - been trained as the team's penalty keeper.
That said, it's quite a risky move since you're not guaranteed three substitutions of your choosing. What happens if you pick up an injury after already making two? Weird.

Krul is a much taller guy. Long arms and legs are good weapons against stopping penalties.
