British label Second Sight has dated its upcoming 4K Blu-ray release of the 4K restoration of George A. Romero's cult film Dawn of the Dead (1978).The release will be available for purchase on October 26.
I’ve now watched the first 3 Fast and Furious movies in 3 nights and they really aren’t bad at all. Enjoyable fluff and really capture a period in time with a great/hilarious soundtrack. It’s kinda funny cause by all accounts, the next 5 movies take a drastic turn towards Michael Bay action movies despite the first one being essentially Point Break with cars instead of surfing.
@nessisonett Yeah they are kind of my guilty pleasure. Some may turn their snooty high brow noses at them, but taken for what they are, you can find some enjoyment out of them.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@Arugula@JohnnyShoulder Yeah, all 3 have been pretty good for different reasons. Tokyo Drift in particular was maybe my favourite, despite having nothing to do with the first two. I really liked the racing in that one but I love Initial D so it was pretty much a Western version of that. They toned down the G force effects as well and I appreciated the drifting compared to the drag racing of the earlier ones.
The only core Fast & Furious films I've seen are the first three as well, though I've somewhat recently seen the Hobbs & Shaw spinoff and I find it bizarre how a series of relatively grounded films about underground street racing evolved into films where they're saving the world from a superhuman cyborg. It's just unreal that it's all part of the same continuity, as it's fundamentally something different to what it started as.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
Has anyone seen Excalibur? I just ordered it for £2 as I heard it inspired Berserk (partially), which was in turn partial inspiration for the Dark Souls games.

I watched the 4th Fast and Furious, confusingly titled Fast & Furious or even F4st & Furious depending on where you are in the world. It wasn’t as good as the first 3, just didn’t have the same element of fun as it was a bit more grounded. I’ve heard the next one’s great as The Rock is finally coming into the series. I really wanna smell what the Rock is cooking.
@Ralizah I mean, this is the series which came up with 2 Fast 2 Furious, Fast Five, Furious 7, F8: The Fate of the Furious etc. Awful titles are a given.
@Arugula I mean, you could say the same thing about Arnie. Action heroes don't necessarily need to be anything other than a pretty face. I love the Governator, though, and his accent and beautiful muscles, whereas something about Vin Diesel skeeves me out.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
