I'm also hoping for an ultimately unlikely all Brit podium of Lando, Lewis and George with Lando the win. Even though not racing as a Brit (and even more unlikely) I'd throw Albon in for a shock 3rd as well. The forecast is a bit open at the moment so there are possibilities of showers to really mix it up as well.
Really looking forward to this one, I think Silverstone is fairly reliable for good races. I'm just hoping it doesn't clash with any Wimbledon matches I want to see.

@themightyant Hope you get to see highlights/re-run without the result being spoiled if that's what you are aiming for.

Managed to sneak off for qualifying. Ferrari up to their old tricks again, bad decision making in Q1 and Lewis just scraped through with the Top 15 all within 0.45s. Q2&3 could be close. Haas 3&7, Williams 4&8, Aston 5th.

Couldnt believe Farrari didnt fuel him for another lap...it must be Muppets making all the decisions there..

I don’t see Mercedes or Ferrari getting anywhere close to the podium tomorrow. Should be a good midfield battle for the remaining points positions though.

@themightyant @Titntin I'm not sure Ferrari could have known how many drivers were still doing laps when they decided how much fuel to give him. I feel that Lewis might have only been saved because only a few drivers below him were still doing a timed lap.

Alonso and the Williams looking quite handy so far.

EDIT: Spoke to soon for Williams, that sucks. Ferrari on fresh rubber back in the mix.

That was thrilling and unexpected. Can never count Max out, he pulled it out the bag when it counted. Expected Ferrari to be closer in Q3.

Quite a few of our contenders making small mistakes in those final runs, just Max doing Max things and nailing it. It will be curious to see tomorrow how the RB goes in race pace tomorrow. Should be fun with or without rain.

EDIT: Good job by Bearman. Shame he has one of his best qualifications when he has a penalty.

That's got to be the most packed I've seen the Silverstone grid for Martin's walk. You see it at some other tracks all the time but it seems over the top. I'm surprised it doesn't hamper the teams. Nice to see actual fans amongst the celebs. I wonder if they've told Martin he snubbed Aaron Taylor-Johnson twice 😄.

@Kairuuu You're right. I wonder whether that was Aston's call or Stroll's. Either way it's paid off massively so far.

EDIT: Max's low downforce is really hurting him now.

@BearsEatBeets Max’s little mishap has Stroll up in P3 now. If this leads to a podium that’ll be absolutely mega!

@Kairuuu I'd prefer Hulk to nick the P3 but a while to go and Hamilton is on the push.

@BearsEatBeets A Hamilton podium at Silverstone after all the shenanigans wouldn’t surprise me. He always seems to find a way to perform at home.

@Kairuuu I was thinking it was inevitable but Hulk is doing a job. Going to be a fun final few laps.

I'm torn between who I want to get 3rd between them.

@BearsEatBeets Likewise. It’s definitely looking like it’ll be Hulk alongside the McLarens on the podium. Massive result for him. A great drive from Lewis too despite the crazy conditions.
