@BlAcK_Sw0rDsMaN I actually beat him yesterday. What helps is cornering him against the railings for extra hits in rounds 1 & 2. I found round 3 the easiest by catching the lightning and throwing it back at him. I also beat the 3 monkeys level and headed to “Sunken Valley” today. Thanks for the assist!

30 hours into Silksong, my options now are Widow, Savage Beastfly, masked Ant & flying Archer at the top of the marches, plus more exploration in the area which I opened with the simple key. also finally Sinners Road. Love the game. Makes me curse alot, but the feeling of overcoming a boss and finding new paths and areas is just sublime.

Finished up everything on Saints Row 3 today and while there was a heart-in-my-mouth moment where it crashed (again) just after picking up the final collectible… I reloaded a save from around 30 minutes prior and shortly after the mop-up was complete. Solid open-world crime-caper when all is said and done… though I’d kill for a remaster of the second one.

Currently installing Lords of the Fallen (2023) and quite excited to give it a try. It seems like this will be as close to the Dark Souls games as any non-From effort, given its dark-fantasy setting if not its quality (though I’ve heard it’s very decent in fairness).

As an aside, I’ve also decided to up my annual souls-like intake from 2 to 3 as of next year 🥳… well, I’m thinking the additional one can be a ‘souls-lite’ (something that plays around with the format a little). So many have released lately (& have been announced to release in future) that I feel I can ease up on the rationing 😁.

@Herculean My advice for act 3 is to max out your relationship with the rest of your team and then head straight for the final boss. There's loads of extra content in the game but it's really easy to over level yourself and make the boss an absolute cake walk.

Plus, the first two acts are really tightly scripted and the story can lose its momentum slightly if you start spending too much time exploring everything else.

Just finished It Takes Two with one of my siblings and it was a great game, and now we started Split/Fiction

Silksong, I defeated Widow last night and with my new item I can do more exploring of previously unaccessible areas, more new wishes to complete as well. With the map steadily growing, I'll be in no rush to get through the game. Retrying bosses and new areas certainly adds to the length of time played.

I got a new weapon in ELDEN RING, yesterday ,and have upgraded it to +6 and improved the scaling options, which makes it a blast to use! .

Killer Frequency. I was looking for a fun Indie to try and really landed on a gem. It's really well made, funny at times and the music is brilliant. I love the voice acting too, at first I tried Endling because I thought 'oh foxes this looks calming and interesting' I only lasted a few hours, it was really traumatic. I was done when an owl ate one of my cubs, I might try it again at some point. But I'm in no rush.

Been diving back into Fallout 4 recently. Took all mods off, since I want to plat the PS5 version eventually. Currently at level 18 and just got to Vault 88. Sad reality is now I'm going to spend 100+ hours building out another vault. That said, I put together a new design for the atrium and am pretty happy with it so far!

I did my third run on Stellar blade, and rn Im waiting for SHf and maybe Yotei (too much money between the two, and too near, so Im gonna wait a little for Yotei). Meantime, Im playing MKW and Splatoon 3 on Switch2.

@MightyDemon82 I'm really enjoying Silksong so far.

I haven't noped out of any areas like I feel I did with Hollow Knight and feel like I've been making steady progress having just unlocked the drifter's cloak.

It's tricky to know whether to go back and re-explore areas or keep pushing on. The fast travel points seem more generous than I remember them being too.

@Thrillho I'm at 45 hours and just clearing up wishes and exploring every nook & cranny as I go, and that's still on act 1. Act 2 can't be to far off but I'm in no rush.

Cyberpunk 2077. I managed to put it off for five years and figured that by now it would have all of the bugs ironed out. I haven't done much story-wise. As soon as the game let me free roam I borrowed a motorbike and went straight into side missions and pretty much pretended to be Judge Dredd by shooting every bad guy I could find. Eventually I'm going to convert the Rafal Kosik audiobook and play it through the game while I get lost in side content.

I got the Left Half of the Dectus Medallion in ELDEN RING this morning, going for the adjoining half of it tomorrow. All this minor admin stuff that goes into perfecting my build before accessing the DLC is the least fun part of playing the game, but has to be done, and it should be worthwhile doing it in the end.

@BlAcK_Sw0rDsMaN Erdtree is no joke, I’m sure it’ll be worth it. All the best, man!

@Metonymy I just surmised from your sig/what the Colonel and Sol said in The Movie Thread, who you are. Great to have you back, man!

I am loving the game with the Sekiro build thus far, after first beating Sekiro of course, gives it that extra sense of savour. The final boss in Erdtree, is, Ik, no slouch, but I am hoping that he, post-nerf, plus with an upgraded Mimic Tear and very powerful Katana build, will be much more manageable during a NG run for me, than others including yourself, have found him to be. What are you playing right now? And how is it going? Oh and any news on the film?

@BlAcK_Sw0rDsMaN Thanks, it’s good to see you! Even without beating the final boss, Erdtree is expansive and was still an incredibly enjoyable experience for me regardless. I wish you and your mimic tear all the best.

I recently enjoyed the heck out of Shinobi and Sword of the Sea and am now playing Hollow Knight: Silksong and Metal Gear Solid Delta, both of which are great.

Sacrifice wasn’t selected at TIFF (which was a long shot) so it’s now been submitted to a number of other festivals and we’re shooting the third part of a little horror trilogy this weekend, actually. It’s a neat project that’s been super fun to be a part of.

@GirlVersusGame I loved Cyberpunk and enough that I've played through it three times (I needed a second run to get the one missable trophy in the game and then replayed it for the DLC too). It's a cool story with some great characters in an amazing location. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

GirlVersusGame

@Thrillho It's really good, I've already put 40hrs in. I got to around lvl20 before even doing a story mission, there's so much to see and do. I've been listening to the Rafał Kosik novel outside of missions too. Cherami Leigh narrates it, the female voice of V. I didn't think they'd pull off the environments as well as they did, the scale of what they've put together is fantastic especially if you look at the original Night City Sourcebook from 1991, it's really faithful to what I've seen there. I feel bad for anyone who skips it because of it's reception at launch, I almost did. It's one of those rare games where you can enjoy walking or driving around and just vibe off the atmosphere, I didn't think there would be as much loot either. The only downside is how addictive it is, but time is only an illusion and there are worse ways to spend it.

I went to Altus Plateau in ELDEN RING this morning, and with the material I acquired there, managed to get my weapon to +12, now doing a decent amount of damage at last, ready to take on the first few bosses before the dlc ,after I get my build completed, stats-wise.
