I'm playing a combination of Death Stranding 2, Rematch and Forza Horizon 5. I've already platted Forza though, so it's mainly DS2 with Rematch as the palate cleanser from the more intense Death Stranding!
Two buddies of mine got me back into Dead By Daylight for the first time in over three years. Quite a lot has changed and there are plenty of new killers and crossovers with Springtrap from FNAF being the most recent killer. I was also surprised to learn that Kaneki, the main protagonist from Tokyo Ghoul, is a killer too!
I'm pretty bad at the game but it was good to play with them again. I fear now they may have me hooked on it once again. Pun intended.
@Kairuuu I've been on and off addicted to Dead by Daylight since late 2022 at this point and have racked up over 1,500 hours in the game. I'm glad to hear you've had a good experience getting back into it, as I fear it might be quite off-putting for new/returning players at this point with the amount of new killers, new survivors to unlock with gated perks and the learning you need to do to effectively counter-play it all. Let me know how you get on with it! Really interested to hear your thoughts as someone who's been out of it for as long as I've played it.
@Jackthelad93 well done on the Forza plat, I’ve heard that Chicken Dinner can be a nightmare to get
Thank you! I can confirm that it is a nightmare to get. I hate Battle Royale games anyway, so having to play that for a trophy, and having to win a game too was not fun at all. I got lucky with it in that I think someone either let me win or failed at trolling me at the finish line. 😂
I didn't care how I won it though, as long as the trophy popped and I never had to play that mode again!
Playing Vampire the masquerade justice VR. I have six bronze trophies and already have an A rating on psnprofiles which isn’t a good sign but I’m enjoying it so far although it is clunky.
@Jackthelad93
Yes well done on that, one of my friends who likes his plats has given up on it. Very annoying trophy and I’m not sure that devs do themselves any favours by adding these types of trophies but whatever.
@Tjuz Yeah, I don’t think I’ve played since around 2021-2022. I like the QOL changes regarding unlocking perks with the prestige system and the automatic bloodweb. Definitely makes the game less grindy.
I just completed Sekiro and got the 'Isshin Ashina' and 'Shura' trophies. Feel proud of myself. Definitely the hardest video game I have ever played.
N.B If you want to see the trophies on my PSN Account you may have to check back later today (an hour or so) as I just got a new internet connection and my PS5 System Software has to update and then I have to refresh PSN Profiles (which you can only do every 60 minutes or so) for everything to sync up, in order for you to view my trophies on there, I believe.
Edit: I'll post links, once it's done.
Edit II: Trophies can be viewed here, updated it now.

@BlAcK_Sw0rDsMaN Impressive. I've always been kind of fearful of Sekiro, it looks so much more difficult than the Dark Souls games.
Also, I'm playing Death Stranding again. I'm struggling with the interface and controls a lot, there are a lot of mechanics I hardly understand, but it doesn't matter. I'm having fun once again with this game that is unlike any other. Hopefully this time I'll see it through!
@Th3solution Also, glad you feel emboldened to try your hand at being a shinobi-prosthetic-augmented warrior in feudal Japan as well. Do you think you would go for the "easier" final boss fight option, like me, or try your hand at the boss fight that felled Jimmer-jammer before he could complete the game?, knowing that once you decide either way, you are locked-in to that decision and can't change your mind.

@CJD87 In case you didn't see my recent posts, I recently completed Sekiro and got the 'Shura' ending. I just wanted to thank you for your encouragement in the way you "sold" the game to me, initially. It was pivotal for my decision to play and complete one of the best games I have ever experienced.

@BlAcK_Sw0rDsMaN Delighted to hear this! I actually think it is my favorite game of all time, and definitely my top FromSoft game. I wish FromSoft would do a sequel...!
Another game that I constantly pimp out on PS5 - the almighty 'Returnal', have you played this? I still think this is the ultimate PS5 showcase in terms of haptics/visuals and has the same rush as Sekiro!
@CJD87 I haven't played it, but, unfortuatnely for you to hear, I fear I won't be swayed on this one, as rogue-likes/rogue-lites and shooters generally aren't my thing, definitely much more of a swordsman in the gaming world, hence the name!
But I will see your 'Returnal' and raise you this, 'Samurai Life SImulator 2025'. There's not much information available on the internet about it, but it has been announced, and here's a page breaking down the details from the official PlayStation website.

@BlAcK_Sw0rDsMaN Oh, I usually take the path of least resistance, so I’ll probably be fine to do the easier final boss. But who knows, maybe I’ll end up being a Sekiro prodigy and I’ll want the highest challenge. 😄. Somehow I doubt that though.
“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.”
@Th3solution Ok, that sounds like a good choice, don't want to end up in a "No Man's Land" wherein you are unable to go forward or back, with that notorious harder final boss.
So, just FYI, the "easier" option is to choose the dialogue option "Obey the Iron Code" during a conversation that occurs during the endgame and that should lock you in to the easier option, some people on reddit have said the alternative is easier, but, that boss has an extra phase, is far more agile and nimble, and has a much larger range of attacks to pool from than the one I fought,
the main reason people have given for the boss I fought being harder is that the boss fight takes place in a smaller arena, and is also allegedly harder, as you would imagine, if you tackle it on New Game Plus.
But others and a friend of mine have said, and I would agree that the option I suggested, "Obey the Iron Code". is easier than the one that leads to the boss that bested Jimmer and I feel I would have been out of my league with - plus Jimmer platinumed Bloodborne! (without save-scumming!)
That's just my two cents, as I would hate anything to spoil your playthrough unnecessarily, but feel free to do your own research as well. Hope that's helpful?

@GirlVersusGame Just out of curiosity, did you beat the Sword Saint as your final boss?? I chose to take on Emma and Isshin Ashina as I read that they were easier. After beating the game I think I share your feelings about not wanting to return to the game and go through all those arduous (albeit rewarding when you finally get the victory) boss fights again, but I think I was stubborn like you, I just couldn't let it go without completing it! , tempting as the Sword Saint and Demon of Hatred look to fight!
What are you playing at the moment, anyway?
How is what you're playing going for you right now?

@BlAcK_Sw0rDsMaN Sword Saint wasn't my my final for my first playthrough, I think it was Emma. I've taken time away from gaming, partly because I wasn't feeling it anymore and partly because summer is my busy season. I played Death Stranding 2 for a few days, it's great but I want it to last so I'm not rushing to get back into it. I left this site too (but kept my profile) that also plays into why I'm not feeling gaming at the moment. It's not healthy to be around squabbling/politics etc and it's all completely unnecessary. Maybe over time that might fizzle out, if not then it is what it is.
I thought I'd miss gaming, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It will probably be different after the summer. But probably not day one games, I think I'm done feeding the machine. There's an odd emphasis around throwing money at all of these games when the people who make them don't seem to care about the customer. We're living in a time where special editions don't even include a disc, it doesn't inspire me to want to go the extra mile and I like to go all in on a hobby or not at all. Are you well though?
