@Thrillho I’m glad you’re enjoying Jedi Survivor. After nearly 90 hours of investment, I came away satisfied overall. I don’t think it’s edged out Hogwarts for my personal GOTY, but I had a similar fanboyish good time with this as a licensed property and having another go at the power fantasy of wielding a lightsaber and battling evil. It had a nice balance of exploration and combat. The story is fine, and it does get better toward the end. There’s a smidgen of humor and personality, although I do think the character development aspects are lacking still (a problem I felt with the first game). Cal is reasonably well voiced and is the strongest character, but the side characters mostly fall flat, imo. There’s one or two exceptions to that, but overall I do hope for the next SW game to have a more Andor level character arc and plot.

In the end, the gameplay pulls it through however. That and the interesting set pieces and environments. Also, they nail the sound design and overall feeling of brandishing your saber.

Still Lies of P!

I am on Manus and I am gathering resources to beat him. After that, one more boss and I am DONE!

FINALLY Lies of P is beaten! That was THE hardest game I have ever played

Lexasia, Manus and the Nameless Puppet were absolute nightmares. I had to reset my builds for each of them!

At the end I was victorious!

Can't wait for something lighthearted like Spider-Man 2

Although I have never played Demon's Souls so I might buy that as well!

PS: I will NOT touch Sekiro after Lies of P

PS2: I was pleasantly surprised that the PS5 recorded videos when I get a prophy not only a screenshot like the PS4. Now I have a collection of every last hit I had on a boss

Finished Final Fantasy 7 Remake again and it's just a absolute fabulous remake.

Managed to complete the first chapter of Intermission got to say I'm enjoying Yuffie and with the synergised game play coming to rebirth its quite good seeing how it works in intermission.

FC24. Please send help. I want to play Baldur's Gate 3, but the damn football game drew me in for way too much of this weekend's game time. The addiction is real, and because i've been scoring a lot, it just makes me want to play it more

@AgentCooper I love it when I stumble on a game and it has that effect… hopefully it’ll continue throughout your playthrough. Haven’t played the game myself but it does interest me so I’ll keep my eye out for your thoughts as you progress.

@AgentCooper Enjoy! What kind of character are you roleplaying as? I keep saying that it's a game I'd love to go back to at some point and go for an utterly deranged, substance abusing strongman who is simply terrible at his job.

My brother got me (not FIFA) EA FC 24 on pre-order for my birthday so I’ve been playing it over the weekend. It’s quite a bit slower than the last few, which I enjoy but tackling has been nerfed to obliteration, you can hold onto the ball very easily which makes most matches a goal fest. Nice having Celtic Park finally in it, virtual Brendan Rodgers is admittedly horrifying and it’s a shame there’s no wee man singing the club song like they have in other stadiums. Not exactly a revolution other than a name change but there’s some welcome additions and the UI is immeasurably better. Plus I got Henrik Larsson randomly from a objective reward pack so it’s clearly fate.

Playing through Lies of P on NG+ just to try get the true ending. I reckon I'm just over halfway through the NG+ playthrough, so hopefully I'll get it finished this week at some point. After that, I'll ideally get back to playing Baldur's Gate 3.

@Th3solution I'm cured. Chatting to a rather bloated chap in a very shady bar in BG3. There's been nothing like this since TW3 😁😁 the quest depth is actually insane, and the dialogue and choices are fantastic

@Ravix Not to mention, there’s almost certainly no dialogue choices like that in FC24!

@th3solution @KAIRU I let my performance do the talking 😏 I do not venture beyond pro clubs though, so at least that has an ounce of creativity in my pro build xD

It is actually really quite good this year, FC24, weirdly. People still do the same boring wing exploits and boring lifeless football, like they always do, but with my conversion rate around 35% and climbing and passing around 86% it seems to really suit the way I play football, and I'm loving being able to come deep, pass it around, and then build nice looking attacking moves. It's hard to describe, but passing angles and positioning just feel more realistic in midfield when dropping back from ST to be the extra man in build up. It's genuinely... fun

But BG3 is obviously far more worthy of anyone's time

@Ravix I haven't played Pro Clubs in years. We had a group on here years ago but has since died down. I tend to just stick to career mode personally.

And yes, Baldur's Gate 3 really needs more of my time too.

Still grinding in DeS, just need to get Strength from 31 to 34, End from 11 or 12 to 25, and Intelligence from 11 to 18 over the next few weeks before I can actually dive into the game properly - well, get the required items to rock a Dragon Bone Smasher +2 with curse weapon and a couple of assisting items. I already know where/how to get two colorless demon's souls to upgrade the DBS, then I just have to get the remaining items for my build and I should be able to demolish this game!

@TheBrandedSwordsman The atmosphere in DeS is so aesthetically pleasing! Really one of the best games graphically on the PS5.
