Anime open world NTE’s pre-launch livestream has concluded, confirming fans can earn an eye-watering 470 free pulls when v1.00 launches for PS5 on 29th April.
As the Perfect World outing is eliminating 50/50s from its gacha system, that’s enough to unlock five free characters, including the Standard Board, which guarantees one free S-Rank within 50 pulls.
We watched the hour-long livestream in its entirety, and we’ve compiled all of the key information below. So, let’s get into it.

NTE: What Is It and When Is It Coming Out?

NTE, or Neverness to Everness, is a free-to-play open world gacha game similar to Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves.
Its big twist is that it mixes combat with GTA Online-style life sim elements, meaning you’ll be able to buy an apartment, decorate it, and invite characters over to spend time with you.
You’ll be able to take on part-time jobs, engage in street races (both online and offline), and follow a Control-esque storyline involving dangerous Anomalies.
The game’s coming out worldwide on 29th April as a PS5 console exclusive, with PC and mobile versions also available featuring full cross-save. Pre-loads will begin on 27th April.
NTE: Is It Pay-to-Win?

No, NTE is a predominantly single player open world experience with some online multiplayer aspects, such as street racing.
The gacha system is one of the most generous in the industry right now, guaranteeing you unlock each banner’s promoted character within 90 pulls.
There’s no 50/50 like in Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, meaning once you reach the “pity” level of 90 pulls, you’ll be guaranteed the highlighted S-Rank.
Furthermore, S-Rank rates will be significantly boosted once you reach 70 pulls, meaning there’s a good chance you’ll land the character you’re after a few pulls earlier than “pity”.
Weapons, meanwhile, will be unlocked by pulling on the Arc Research Program, which uses a separate currency called Tri-Keys.
Each pull costs 10x Tri-Key and you’ll be guaranteed an A-Rank weapon each time. S-Ranks will drop every six pulls, while you’ll be guaranteed the promoted weapon within eight pulls.
So, to summarise, you’ll need 80x Tri-Key to guarantee you get your favourite character’s signature weapon.
NTE: Are There Any Free Characters?

Yes, you’ll get three free characters just for playing NTE, and a further fourth S-Rank for pulling on the Standard Board 50 times.
Here’s a breakdown of all the free characters and how to get them:
- Haniel
- Free in your in-game mailbox as part of the Pre-Reg Rewards
- Auriela
- Unlocked by logging in for three days
- Chiz
- Unlocked by progressing your City Tycoon rank
You’ll get 20% off your first five 10-Roll pulls on the Standard Banner, meaning it’ll cost you just 40 pulls to get your first S-Rank. You’ll also be able to pick which character you want, so no need to re-roll here.
The characters promoted on the Standard Board are:
- Sakiri
- Baicang
- Hathor
- Fadia
- Daffodill
- Jiuyuan
As outlined by the rewards on this page below, you’ll earn more than enough free Fabricated Dice to get at least one S-Rank character on the Standard Board.
NTE: What Are the Redemption Codes?

As part of its livestream, NTE released three redemption codes which can be used to unlock free rewards in NTE on day one.
You can use these on launch day by loading the game and selecting [Menu] > [...] > [Redeem Code] and entering the following three codes before 13th May.
