Regarding trophy and platinum hunting, I also have relaxed on that initiative the last few years. I found a nice dopamine rush whenever I got a platinum, but I simply am running low on time. And energy. I’m not sure I enjoy gaming more without a platinum hovering over my head, but I enjoy it at least as equally. I still like trophies though and I like to try to earn as many as I can without going too far out of my way in a game.

And on the subject my pushing through Cocoon, I think you’re right. I’m simply not feeling it right now, for whatever reason. And I might be able to go back to it later on when my brain isn’t so squeezed and depleted of all its problem-solving attribute points. It’s not that the game is making me miserable or has a stranglehold on my free-time, but it could potentially rob me of some quality time elsewhere. (I like that quote by RWE, and yes, I am familiar with him and Thoreau, from High School coursework) I do have a tendency to be obsessive and committed to giving a game its full chance. Sometimes a game doesn’t “click” right away, I’ve learned. Still, there’s no problem with shelving a game when things are stuck in a rut. I’ve done it many times. In fact, Witcher 3 is one that I’ll soon be ready to pull back off the shelf for attempt #2 and I expect it will click this time.

But first, Still Wakes the Deep. A bite-sized scary game. I’ll probably start it this week. Even though it’s only like 4-6 hours, I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes me 2 weeks, so I better get a head start on you. 😅

Until Dawn PS5, I started today and I'll finish today/tonight. I kept notes of my predictions too so it will be interesting to see how it ends. As for it being scary? not in the slightest, I think because it plays like a movie more than a game and I feel completely removed from the danger. I just started Chapter Eight and I was right about Josh from the start

Good stuff.
Yeah I think the plot is fairly obvious although they do do their best to put you off the scent and of course that is only half the story.
I did enjoy the story and thought it was all pretty well written plus I liked how dark it got towards the end.
The characters and performances are all great, the quality is certainly there.

Did they all make it out alive though?

@CaptD I'm watching the credits now, it looks like I saved five people. They are doing the police interviews now. Jessica passed first and Josh had his head squeezed, I forget what happened to Matt I'll add some feedback to the just finished thread. It started off slow and got better and better, this end song on the credits is very good too.
