@Thrillho Got a fair bit to do to catch you up haha. Really enjoying it. One fight and twist took me totally by surprise though near the end of part 4.
@MightyDemon82 I’m as much of a completionist as possible with these games within reason.
I only have the platinum for Y6 as you can “cheat” the legend mode play through by loading a save just before the final fight and just increasing the difficult for that.
And I think I remember what fight you mean. I did like the new character for Y5 as I do enjoy the baseball minigame. There’s an even more fun version in Y6.
Well I'm back on the PS5 bandwagon and have picked up Ratchet and Clank and GT7, just in the phase of installing my games and working out which of my PS4 library to upgrade to PS5 versions
Older than I care to remember but have been gaming since owning a wooden Atari 2600 and played pretty much everything inbetween.
@velio84 cheers I'll do just that, I've had a quick go of the music rally whilst it was installing but yeah I'll get some real progress done and jump in

Had started playing Spyro the Dragon, but I wasn't enjoying it like I had hoped, so I moved onto Cyberpunk 2077 instead. I've only played it for a couple of hours, but I like it so far. I didn't realize how different the game can be based on which kind of character you choose until I watched the beginning of somebody's playthrough. I'm a Nomad.

@KilloWertz I started as a street kid. I think I’m a good way through now but I’ve been trying to knock off some side missions. Some of them are actually very good and I’m finding I’m getting more interested in the game the further I get. It’s not perfect and I’m finding a load of glitches. Yesterday a found a cigarette just hovering in the air smoking itself 😀
@render Yeah they are some really good side missions (not to be confused with side activities which admittedly can get quite samey). The sentient taxi AI is probably one of the highlights for me.

@JohnnyShoulder That’s actually one of my favourite characters. I’ve been using the car I got from completing that mission and each time I get in you get some great dialogue.
I also initiated a sequence with Panam last night that was surprisingly graphic and left me and the wife in hysterics 😂
@render I do have to give them credit for making at least a portion of the game being totally different between all 3 Life Paths. Obviously I'm not sure how far along that continues to go before the story and such is the same for all 3, but I'm assuming it is at some point. It gives you a real reason to play the game 3 times if you want to, unlike even Elder Scrolls or Dragon Age where the gameplay is the only difference.
I don't think that's a cigarette. That's such high quality weed that it got high on itself.
I can accept glitches like that now since it seems to be in good enough shape after all this time, from what I've read. Obviously I can't comment since I've only played it for a couple of hours, but no game like this is perfect. I look forward to digging in to more of it.

@KilloWertz That might explain quite a few weird things going on in the game 🤣
The different life paths seem to feed mainly into the dialogue but it’s great that those options exist. I’d imagine they wanted to do quite a bit more with it, but like most of the game, it looks like they just ran out of time. I can’t imagine them ever doing a sequel but I’d like to see them do something else using this world as inspiration.
@render So, I take it the only major differences in story and gameplay are in the beginning? They all have very different beginnings with different characters as your "friends".
Since they finally have a solid foundation to work with, I doubt it would be so insanely difficult to make another one like it was with this. The Witcher 4 would come first, but given how this generation has gone, I'd suspect even another Cyberpunk would be able to come out before another generation occurs. There wouldn't be the cross-gen debacle again. Still, who knows. This is probably a game that will keep getting new players over the course of time the further removed it gets from the launch debacle since the game right now is a pretty good game finally.

@KilloWertz That’s if, it’s really only the openings that are the major difference. At least it feels like it has some bearing on who you are and how you react to people. Be great to have that built on though which bigger differences in relationships and abilities.
I agree, I mean I was really not interested in this game due to how it was reported during those early days. I wasn’t expecting to like it based one what others have said but I’ve tried to make my own opinions about it. Hopefully others will give it that chance just like we have.
@KilloWertz@render There is the expansion which is supposedly be quite substantial. Whether it will fill in some of the blanks in V's story, any of the supporting characters, or something entirely new I'm not sure.
In regards to differences to how the game plays out, I think it it key story stuff depending on what choices you make, and some of those might not be available depending your earlier choices I believe.

@JohnnyShoulder@KilloWertz I was going to hold off playing until that arrived but I’m sure I won’t mind coming back to play that when it does launch. Hoping for something substantial as I think they will still be trying to restore peoples trust, so will want to do a good job.
The dialogue options definitely depend on your life path but selecting those doesn’t seem to alter how the missions play out, more just how other characters respond to you. So from a mission I did last night the street kid option meant I responded quite aggressively to someone so then it seemed that character was quite short with me for the rest of the conversation, but after choosing that I was returned to the dialogue menu with the remaining options I hadn’t chosen which would have been available regardless of who you were. As an addition it would have been great if that could have affected the actual action of the mission e.g. how you get in somewhere or allies you make and take with you. I can understand that complicates things so get why it doesn’t work like that.
Just finished and Platinum’ed Unpacking on the PS5. I’ve played through this game about 20 times now on Xbox and Switch. Still not bored by it, great little chilled game.
As I mentioned in the news post, relaxed gameplay, silent narrative, beautiful visuals and great sound.
Highly recommend this to anyone looking for something a bit different.
EDIT: It’s cross buy too. So you get the PS4 version as well. For anyone that cares, that’s 2 separate trophy lists, so 2 platinums.
