@Kidfried Never really thought of the abbreviation, but that is true.

It was to re-experience the story, but also because I skipped several side missions the first time around even though it was one of my favorite PS4 games. I figured I might as well give it an even more thorough playthrough that the game deserves before Forbidden West (on Easy to experience it all without frustration), although I likely won't play The Frozen Wilds again as I want to cleanse the pallet a bit before I play Forbidden West.

Hello.

Just popped in to say how much I'm enjoying beating @Quintumply 's speedrun records on Astro's Playroom.

That'll be all. As you were everyone.

Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.

I just got started with Judgment and am enjoying it so far. It feels weird being in Kamurocho without my man Kiryu though.

The little changes so far make it feel distinct enough although I’m really not a fan of the not-so mini map and the fact I randomly can’t choose to have it spin round to match to the direction I’m facing.

I certainly won’t be getting the platinum on this one..

@Thrillho I bought Judgement the other day, a physical copy for under £20. It's going to be my first game of it's type. The Yakuza series seems like a bit of a minefield for a newcomer so thought it best to go with the series that has only two entries.

😝

On Day 2 with Ellie in TLoU 2, one of the key flashback scenes. It's such a great game, still can't understand why it was so divisive.

Thrillho

@Col_McCafferty I picked up the sequel in a recent sale so I’ll get to that at some point in 2022… and maybe Yakuza: Like a Dragon too!

I enjoyed the main series but played the games steadily over nearly three years. They felt a little dated even then so playing some of them now might be even more jarring. The fact the Judgment games also have PS5 upgrades is really handy too.

i'm having to get in to obscure titles now as i have gamed way too much over the last 2 years and finished with all the obvious great games. i just replayed Death stranding on PS5 because i had nothing else to play, my memory is crap so it was pretty good again the second time because you make your self little challenges as its way too easy the second time, especially with the new weapons but i got over it about 3/4 of the way even though i did push through to the end again. i had forgot how rubbish the end was it needed something else like seeing him go away with fragile and make a better world or something.

Found an area on the Isle of Skye called ‘Iron-Brew Mines’ in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Brilliant.

@Quintumply @Thrillho @Kidfried Haha, sorry to clog up your notifications feeds guys! I think I'm pretty much done now, I can't get them down any further.

It's such a great game. Quite often these days, I finish a game and/or get the platinum. It's nice to find a game which drags me back in.

Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.

@nessisonett My wife's playing through Valhalla at the moment and I've been watching bits of it. It's genuinely funny in places

@Gremio108 I got a bunch of Astro records notifications yesterday from another Push Square user - you might've started something

I'm playing Far Cry 6 and after ten hours or so I have to say that the overwhelming hate thrown at this game from some corners of the Internet has been absurd.

JohnnyShoulder

@johncalmc Yeah I don't get it either. Do you think some people are just using whatever is going on at Ubisoft to fling turds at the game?

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

@JohnnyShoulder Well. I think there's a couple of things in play here. I think first of all some people may just be sick of the series - and that does happen - but the extent to the backlash seemed absurd to me. Far Cry 6 is just more Far Cry sure but then most sequels are just more aren't they? Most sequels have more in common with Far Cry 6 than God of War in terms of how they evolve their series'.

I also think that in general people are gunning for Ubisoft right now because of that whole covering up sex abuse thing. And that's fine. Gun for them. They deserve it. But I wonder how much Far Cry 6 finds itself guilty by association.

Similarly, I think some people are still feeling burned by Far Cry 5 because it wasn't what they wanted. If you remember there was also a backlash to 5 in particular because of the politics of the game but that was more the games media being morons than anything to do with the game. They wanted it to be about something but it was plainly about something else.

So I don't know, it's probably a little from column A, and some from column B and C.

I don't want to sound like I'm defending Far Cry in court or anything - I don't even like the series that much. I've always just thought it was a kinda silly thing that I turn my brain off and play while I'm listening to podcasts or whatever. I just think the backlash is daft here.

i probably replied to this but i often switch games im playing. so right now im goin thru the new Deep Rock Galactic and I'm surprised how much i like it. If you like minecraft, terraria, or even older games like slime world on the atari lynx, you will like this one. you go thru huge caves and mines diggin for ore and fighting occassional alien flora and fauna. sometimes u gotta hook long pipe works up but its fairly easy. then, u hit the escape button as i call it and run back to your drilling platform to lift off from the asteroid to finish the level. its fun. u can play solo or co op 4 people online. its free right now, too!

also trying to get back into Ark and No Mans Sky. been hankerin for building/survival games.

also back 4 blood has had me hooked since october 2021 when it released.

minecraft had that "caves and cliffs" update and the cave system and the now way more realistic landscape generation is really something to see in the game.

we have dying light 2 coming soon here at the first of 2022 and elden ring. so i have plenty to keep me busy. also playing my retro game cart collection on my Retron5 multi system now and then. too many games!

The Nintendo Switch is the only console that predicts its own future... after 5 years of nothing but weaboo games, you're ready to switch to another console!
