Topic: Saros Thread

I'll be honest I've never heard of Rahul before this, but he seems like a really nice and honest person, from the snippets we've seen his acting sounds really good, I'll forgive him for being a Liverpool fan because of this

@Th3solution Thanks man! I was flirting with the idea of a Pro... but my monitor/TV definitely wouldn't be taking full advantage, so likely go for Digital Slim (cheapest option on £££....)

I did a few runs on Returnal last night on the Tower. It reminded me of how addictive the gameplay loop is and even when you die you want to go back for another run. It got pretty frantic past the second boss stage and I'm ruing my change from the dreadbound to the higher specced pylon driver, but it was fun anyway.

I can't wait to see the new abilities available in Saros and how they affect the gameplay, and really how the game is structured vs Returnal. I feel that I made my monies worth with that game having died so many times but there was plenty of replay value for me on the way to the platinum - but I certainly wouldn't complain if they removed the RNG from any trophies

@render I think I will be starting a new play through of Returnal this weekend (actually can't wait to be honest!) oh yeah I remember loving the tower, it was a great place to test out every gun and seeing the changes once you reached max level with them. I will have to agree with you that getting the platinum was the only unfun part of the game, here's hoping they have learnt their lession!

Yeah the new abilities look extremely fun, really don't think Housemarque could anything at the point to steer me away from playing Saros 😅

@render I tried the tower in Returnal a while back and was completely ass at it, so quickly gave up!

I've purposely not started any huge games so that I can play Saros straight away when it gets delivered. So I will mostly be playing shorter games, demos and trials in the build up.

@cainhurst94 I can see Saros scoring around an 81-82 on Metacritic but if by some miracle it get's up to 88-89 I will be extremely happy!

@Oram77 I don't know why but I see 88+. Returnal would've been a 90+ if it didn't have the bugs and a save system at launch. The only area I'm unsure of is the story as in the previews it's the only part that had a more mixed response but probably due to the time limit.

It's a shame the video quality doesn't give it justice, but if you have a Pro and a good TV/monitor you will be in for a treat
