@colonelkilgore The level of detail in the worlds they design is second to none imo. When I first arrive in a area, I usually spent a bit marveling at the architecture and the little things like the gold carvings in the walls etc.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@JohnnyShoulder agreed... and it all has that individually hand-built look. No copy-paste of assets, just everything built for that one and only placement within the environ.
https://wccftech.com/elden-ring-multiplayer-class/ Support of what I said about Bright or Light Souls, definitely looking like a high-fantasy, George R.R Martin endeavour, deriving some influence from Sekiro's colour scheme.
Bbased on what I've seen in the leaked footage I think it will have a distinctly 'autumnal' quality.
@TheBrandedSwordsman Yeah, especially when you go back there in Dark Souls 3. That gave me goosebumps when I realised what was happening!
And I seem to remember it more in Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 @colonelkilgore. I think that has more to do with that they were both built from the ground up with last gen consoles in mind. Even stuff like the fabric on your clothes and being able to see the metal trinkets, I found all kinds of lovely to look at.

@JohnnyShoulder will probably seem strange to some but I spend inordinate amounts of time revolving the camera around my character, marvelling at how the light reflects on my armour and particularly the 3d texture on shields. I really need to get a life!
Graphics-wise, I’m one of the rare people who love how From games look. I know they notoriously struggle with frame-rate &/or frame-pacing, I know character faces can look like they were designed by a pre-schooler, and yes resolutions haven’t been the best... but that aesthetic just elevates it above everything visually (at least in my opinion).
In regards to how the potential PS5 version will looks to the PS4 version... i’ d imagine very similar. Probably just a 60 FPS rather than 30 FPS & 4K to 1080 resolutions on PS5 and (base) PS4 respectively.
Same I just love how the Fromsoftware games look, I'd imagine Elden Ring will be 1800P/60FPS on PS5, much like Sekiro was.
I don't know what this says about my psyche but it's like Miyazaki has personally extracted my own personal deepest darkest dreamscapes from deep within my unconscious/subconscious. Their games 'speak' to us on almost a Jungian level.
FromSoftware aren't exactly known for their technical expertise so I don't expect it to look like Demon's souls, The thing that I'm curious about is the horse gameplay.
