I feel like the opening sequence dropped a whole load of story on you that makes utterly no sense at the time so it would be interesting to watch that again now!

It is cool that loads of lore can be hidden away in item descriptions but, as said above, there is such a vast amount of items that you can’t go reading through everything..

And no NG+ for me. I’m done. The reason it took so long for me to get through was that I insisted on trying to do EVERYTHING in the game and only started ignoring some dungeons and NPC quests towards the end as I just wanted to get finished, and realised how many of the rewards were kind of pointless; so many of the catacombs gave me ashes I never even looked at, let alone used.

@Thrillho I read through all item descriptions and use the spirit ashes at least once... probs one of the reasons why I will still be playing the game for a looooong while yet. 😂

But your normal gamer will probably not do that though.

@JohnnyShoulder Ha. Once you have the Mimic Tear though, I found there’s almost no point in using other Ashes.

@Thrillho I've not found the mimic tear that good tbh, and I kinda enjoy trying the new ones and experimenting with them.

Well I've managed to beat Mohg after finding my way to their palace, made it through a good chunk of the Haligtree to Elphael and upgraded my moonveil Katana to lvl 10! Pretty productive night. The haligtree was awesome, I fell for way too many "shortcut here" messages though!!

@R1spam I found Mohg quite easy with my Mimic Tear as, weirdly for the Lord of Blood, they’re quite weak to bleed so the two of us with blood weapons made short of work of them.

I liked the Haligtree area but lost a fair amount of runes in that section! The Elphael section is pretty tough but there are loads of places you can jump over ledges and skip sections. There’s one section I remember just sprinting through as some of the enemies are pretty hard hitting.

OMG after weeks and weeks of trying, i finally killed Starscourge Radahn! But as soon as the trophy popped, it went to a screen with an Elden Ring logo at the bottom left. It didn't load anything, it just hung. I had to close the game and now, Radahn is dead but I don't have the items or runes for killing him. Just in the area with no Radahn and a place to return. Will this affect my story not having those items and related quests???

@Throb That sounds highly frustrating but you should be fine. You need two great runes to get into Leyndell but if it’s bugged and not given you his, there are enough other main bosses to get them from.

@Thrillho I've already got in to Leyndell, was just trying to continue a quest from Ranni. I've tried chatting to characters but nothing is progessing

@Throb have you checked around the castle morne area in the weeping peninsula area? If some of that area is changed, the quest might still be ok

@Thrillho I'm an intelligence build but I'm rocking a fully upgraded moonveil katana, which has bleed and magic damage. My mimic tear and I got him 4th or 5th go.

@Throb Ah, I guess it might be to do with Blaidd and his involvement with the Radahn fight and Ranni. I guess you’d met him before the fight?

@R1spam I was pure dex and using bleed focused weapons. I think my final build was about 45 for health and stamina, 65 for dex, and like 15 for most other stats.

A mixed magic/bleed weapon sounds pretty tasty though!

@R1spam @Thrillho There was a conversation with Blaidd just by the SOG in the Radaha area, after i reloaded the crashed game. I thought he was going to be by the hound evergaol, i read somewhere but he is nowhere to be seen.
There is now a massive hole near Castle Morne!

@Throb It’s hard to know what advice to give you as the storylines for Ranni, Blaidd and the game in general overlap and mix about so much and you may have done some parts or skipped bits entirely depending on what you’ve done so far.

If you’re worried, have a look at their entries on the game’s wiki to see if things are progressing as they should.

@Throb trying not to spoil stuff but that hole is important for the ranni questline! Like Thrillho, I don't want to spoil much but I think war councilor Iji maybe gave me a clue about where to find Blaidd. I think given how much the crash has thrown things, you would be best to quick check a wiki. Oh and would recommend watching a youtube of the end of the Radahn fight so you know why there is that giant hole!!

@Thrillho @R1spam Thanks guys, this is the first From Software game I have actually got in to with it being more accessible. I'm still a bit rubbish and things take me a lot longer to do than the Pros. I'm at level 137 and been playing for over 140 hours, i'm enjoying it immensely but am also very slow
