Thanks! Is anyone still playing this game? I’m late to the party, but I’m so immersed in this world, and want to talk about it to anyone and everyone lol.

@Kraven you missed the boat on here, we couldn't stop going on about it for a month or two 😅😅

It really is one that, if it clicks, is just endlessly enjoyable exploration regardless of any actual thing telling you to go anywhere. Some of the best moments are when you are hanging on for dear life and know you have to get back to somewhere for a timed quest, or if you lose pawns in a particularly tough area and night falls 😁

And as my pawn design accidentally became Tim Roth, there was never a day that passed where something that happened in the world wasn't made more entertaining by the fact he looked and sounded quite a bit like Tim Roth. It was quite the mindf*** at times 😁

I seem to be quest locked in Tolled To Rest and I no longer have access to Nations Death Nell in the Waterfall Cave or the place that I pulled it from in the Ancient Battlegrounds. I think this quest locking a couple other quests too. Can anyone gift this to me please! Pawn ID is HBN25IZGC7A4. Thanks! PS playing on PS5

@rwilson1206 check the pawn shop in checkpoint rest town, I think missing items can show up in the inventory there.

yeah, I went to the shop and the book is not there.

Nations Death Knell should be in the shop at Checkpoint Rest Town. All of the books you’re looking for has at least two copies, and if need be you can make forgeries.

Hey guys, does pausing the game stop in-game time?

@WanderingBullet yeah, I believe you can pause or go to the a map screen to pause the game. It's been a while, but map and inventory seemed to be a hard pause.

@Ravix What would be a soft pause? When the game slowly comes to a standstill?

@JohnnyShoulder ehhh, bad phrasing, I guess. What do they call it in Elden Ring where you are allowed to go to the game settings and inventory management, but there is a high likelihood that you will be mauled by a giant bear, shot by a magic snowman or slapped down by a severed hand if you do?

@Yagami something more in line with quest structure from DD1. I didn't play a lot of it, as I'd only heard of it when this one was coming out and tried out Dark Arisen just to see what it was about, but it seemed a little more unique and free in the first game, whereas DD2 seemed a little bit more standard RPG, even though it wasn't 'hand holdy' it wasn't quite the same feeling I got from my very limited time I'm DDDA.

Other than that, just an excuse to go on another adventure with Tim Roth 😅 which has been my gaming highlight of the year, and very specific to me (and anyone who hired him)

I'd quite like an Elf-centric storyline in the DD world too. I imagine there were times where the Elves were at their height, as there is in other fantasy settings? Not exactly sure of the specific lore in DD in regards to that though.

@Yagami judging by the similarities between DD1 and DD2, I won't need to, if they do a DLC that is basically the same but in the new game 😛

Ah, so there is a blank slate for the races. It'd be quite cool to see a massive prequel then. There are small threads about the first King and Arisen being a kitty cat, for example, right? Maybe they did that so they could expand on the history of the worlds at some point.

Anyone know If I start new game plus will Tim Roth vanish forever? 😭

What happens to everyone's Pawns on a restart? I've just left him in perpetual post-game, where I guess he's still been available for hire (?) out of respect for his legend, but I'm tempted to jump in and check out the new game plus for if any DLC drops 😬

And if there's DLC, do we think it will be a new save, or a carry over save from your current game progress?

@Ravix For NG+, I'm pretty sure you can either use your old faithful pawn or create a new one. You get the option to change your Arisen's appearance too.

@ApostateMage cheers, mate 😁 I guess I might fire it up to see how the old fellow is doing, and maybe cure his red eyes. I hope it stayed on the Pawn server like that for people to rent, but when new game starts there won't be a way to see the "journies i've been on with other Arisen" screen. So maybe it won't have been on the active server until the new game starts 🤔

I do kind of want to make a new Pawn, but I don't think playing through the DLC (if it comes) will feel quite right without using OG player pawns.

Was Nysteria yours? If I'm remembering correctly. I'd imagine maybe a similar feeling could creep in if you started a new chapter without them? 😅
