Topic: Your Latest PS4 Purchase

Well the PSN Black Friday Sale got me. I picked up, Horizon Zero Dawn, Injustice 2, and Yakuza 0 and the other Yakuza.

Been wanting to try the Yakuza series for years now but they were so expensive on PS2. And the price they are now I couldn't say no to them. Horizon I wanted to check out but with it releasing so close to Breathe of the Wild I had to pass on it but I figured it would have been on sale for Black Friday. Same with Injustice 2 with it releasing so close to Tekken 7 I had to wait for Black Friday to pick it up.

@Tasuki I was eyeing some of the same. Injustice 2 looks good, although I don’t play many fighters, but at that price...
And I already picked up Yakuza 0 recently and added to my backlog and wish I had waited. Might pick up Kiwami now though.
And I already have HZD from day 1. It’d be nice if Frozen Wilds went on sale.

@Th3solution Yeah I don't play to many fighters either, mainly just play them for the single player story mode. Playing them against friends can be fun too but gets repetitive after awhile and I won't play online cause I know I would get my but kicked. Which is one reason I waited too, no point in me spending $60 on a game that I wasn't going to play alot.

Just got that Planet of the Apes downloading now. Total download is over 40GB! Seems somewhat mad for what I'm expecting is a 2-3 hour experience.

@roe Did they release that as some sort of PSONE Classic or is it a remake? Either way not sure if I would spend anything for a game that made AVGN's list. Curious though let us know how you like it.

Madden 18, Assassin's Creed Origins and Wolfenstein 2. So many good deals right now...

@Splat Kinda surprised you didn't grab the first Wolfenstein as well. Worth playing through before the second IMO.

Puyo Puyo Tetris, picked it up for £12 new. Result!

@Tasuki Nah it's a brand new story game. Was hoping to get into it last night but unfortunately the download was taking so long I'm gonna have to wait til tomorrow. I'm not expecting it to be great (doesn't seem to have had much buzz) and early reviews are suggesting it's mediocre at best, although I'm always keen to give story-based experiences a try.

Will post my thoughts when I've "played" it.

I got the new Assassins in the sale. Should be interesting. The combat is like Dark Souls lite and a lot of the hand holding is gone.

Only so much money to go around haha. I have already spent over $100 on games and it's not even Black Friday yet...

Call Of Duty: WWII,Resident Evil 7,Wolfenstein and Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. My wallet is taking a beating...

So far I got Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 Remix (haven't played any KH game before) , Yakuza 0, Wolfenstein TNO/TOB Double Pack, and Wolfenstein II. Might get one or two more but can't decide which ones to get out of Crash Trilogy, RE7, KH 2.8, and Yakuza Kiwami.

Just picked up Destiny 2 on Amazon for £20 which is probably worth it to dip my toe and see how it goes.

So I headed over to Amazon & grabbed:

Final Fantasy XII- £15.50
Prey- £15.90
WipEout Omega Collection- £12.99

Amazon also had this promotion were topping up by £50 would gain me £5 in rewards.

So I spent just under £40 for all this!

I also preordered Okami HD PS4 (£15), because the game releases on the 12th of December & my prime membership expires on the 13th .

@KratosMD Hope you enjoy NiOh! One of my favourite games of the year. Persistence is key & don't worry about dying. In my 200hours with it, I died over 2000 times.
Also Gravity Rush 2 has a loads of free DLC on the PS Store, including the free story episode: The Ark of Time - Raven's Choice.

@KratosMD It is a sequel, but the game does a good job in bringing you up to speed.
However, GR2 kind of wraps up Kat's story & there are some great moments were you meet friends & foes of old. There's one incredible moment in particular that would be lost to those that skipped the first.
There's a lot of character development that you would be missing out on & I know how much you like your characters . So I definitely recommend playing the first if you have the time (takes about 12hours to beat) & own the game.

Keep in mind though that Sony are switching off the GR2 servers in mid-January. So some of the social features will be lost to you (like beating other people's scores in challenges).

Picked up Sims 4 for $30, Everybody's Golf $20, and Wolfenstein 2 $25. All great Black Friday deals.

I picked up Gran Turismo today. It's really good. I've always liked this series because it's such a pure pleasure of driving the cars around the tracks. This one is great because you make progression even in arcade mode and the online has improved massively. I've already had many an epic battle for 6th place

Amazon are just awesome.
So when I topped up my account by £50 yesterday, I got +£5 as a reward.
This morning, I check my emails to see that my top up entitled me to +£6 discount at checkout from any Amazon warehouse dispatched item by mid-January.

Long story short...I picked up The Evil Within 2 for £14!!! You happy @kyleforrester87 ?
That's a good enough price that I won't get mad when the game drops down to £10 in February.
