@RogerRoger
Oh, about Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
Well, from my first impression as I have never played Spyro games before, the games felt more interesting and easier than 3D Mario games like Mario Galaxy or Mario Sunshine.
Well, because I played from PS4 version first with Auto Save feature and fast travel to other places unlike the PS1 version. It gave me a good impression and I keep continuing my progress of Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
There were some challenges I didn't like by flying and hit the objects by time limit as I couldn't play very fast and precisely within limited time. I tried to avoid those challenges if it will not give me a reward to continue the storyline. From dialogues quality, even the storyline was not as strong as modern games but I felt the storyline in Spyro Reignited Trilogy was more interesting to enjoy than 3D Mario games which Mario still never talk and the Nintendo fans want Mario keep silent and never talk but me as PlayStation gamer want to see some improvements from 3D Mario games like the 3D platformer games on PlayStation machines.
@MaulTsir I hadn't played "Stick" but got the free download code when I bought FBH.
The original is great fun and lots of the references were from the era where I was still watching the programme but I preferred the second game as the MCU characters were more fun to me and I thought the combat was way better. The story is sort of a direct continuation and the mechanics are different enough that playing them back to back didn't feel like a drag at all.
I forgot just how incredibly bad Lego Marvel 2 was. I literally have just that and Lego DC Super Villains left out of the games I own as well. Hate Jurassic Park so not going to bother with Lego Jurassic World, Lego Lord of the Rings is PS3 only and delisted and Lego The Incredibles seems pointless so it’s just these two games before Skywalker Saga. Problem is, Lego Marvel 2 is bizarrely worse in every conceivable way than the first one. The lack of X-Men and Fantastic Four characters really lets it down too, like the big baddies in the first game were Galactus, Doctor Doom and Magneto and none of them are in this game.
Following on from Castlevania: RoB, I’ve made a start on Castlevania: SotN. Having never played any of the Castlevania games prior to this week, I can’t help but think that the Requiem collection is a perfect place for a noob like me to get a taste for the franchise. You get the last of the original style with Rondo… and the game that put vania into the metroidvania with Symphony… .
@RogerRoger You might be alright with Lego Marvel 2 in that you haven’t played so many Lego games back to back that it’s easier to pick out the faults! It just feels a little soulless to me but that’s obviously subjective.
@LN78 you’ll have to excuse my ignorance dude but CIB? I’m guessing it’s in relation to a physical copy though… in which case I didn’t realise there had been a physical version but sure enough I just checked and they are rare. A very limited run apparently, one that was all gobbled up by Castlevania enthusiasts immediately I’d imagine.
@LN78 well you learn something new everyday 😅. Funnily enough I started watching Slope’s Game Room’s complete history of Castlevania this morning and he kept making a point of how expensive everything is for this particular franchise.
As a ‘Sega-child’ I remember looking over at my Nintendo-owning friends with some jealousy at Castelvania (& Contra), so it’s nice to be actually playing some of them at last. I know one eventually got released on the Megadrive but I’d already kinda moved on by that point.
@LN78 yeah he seems to concentrate on 8-bit and 16-bit in the main. Some people might find his enthusiasm a bit much like… but I quite enjoy his content.
@LN78 yeah I will cheers. Just ‘finished’ what I assume to be the main story of SotN… though I’m aware that there are a few playthroughs at least required. Great game fair play… the map is incredible. Reminds me of the original Dark Souls map a bit in some strange way.
@Kidfried yeah I enjoyed The Stick Of Truth so I will be looking forward to playing the next one.
I really enjoyed Nier Automata, there was just something about it. I wouldn't say it's aged well or bad but it's definitely a game that was interesting to play.
I've started Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, I was a big fan of The Division 2 and thought I'd give this a go, there's a few multiplayer trophies and seems like it would be a good enough game to get some co-op in.
I played a few hours of Sundered (or Sunderland as spell check kept changing it to), initially I liked it as aesthetically it is my jam and the score I thought was cool. Unfortunately I eventually found the combat to be very samey as there was little variation to it. Also you have these hordes of enemies which you have to face off against, which was ok at first but it soon got annoying. This also made the combat feel very button mashy due the number of enemies you have to fight at he same time.
So I started Hollow Knight.... and I really like it! Definitely seems more my thing, with a nice mix of exploration, combat and progression. I've beaten the first boss and the quest for the Shamen, so still quite early. But hopefully this one sticks.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

@MaulTsir Wildlands is a really fun game for co-op, huge map too. It’s quite open-ended how you approach it, so you can tailor the way you play to your preferences.
I've been playing through Resident Evil 5 for the last couple of weeks. Beat it at the weekend on my first blind play through on normal. Then have completed another run on easy to find all emblems (using a guide) and fully upgrade some weapons so I can get infinite ammo for them. Today I have managed to unlock the infinite rocket launcher via a speed-run and collect a few of the miscellaneous trophies.
I am now set to complete it again on hard and probably will attempt to do so again on hardest (not yet unlocked). I've really enjoyed this game and.... (unpopular opinion coming, bracing for the backlash) personally think it's a better game than RE4 which I completed a few months back.
I'm not saying it's a better Resident Evil game, but as a game to play in this day and age I think it's much more enjoyable and fun.
