@Th3solution It not the longest of games either but I thought the run time was judged pretty much perfectly. The platinum is not too hard to get but I did resort to a guide in order to obtain the collectibles I missed the first time round, and there are a couple of decision based ones, so will need to make use of the chapter selection.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
I thought it was clever to switch the game up like that and show that being consumed by revenge just led to them both spiralling into self destruction but ultimately Abby could walk away from it when Ellie couldn’t.
Are you planning on doing a platinum run though? Having a second play can be quite a different experience with the game modifiers giving you unlimited ammo, crafting materials etc and you keep all weapons you finished with including the silenced machine gun for Ellie which makes her side of the story quite easy!
@JechtUltima Glad you enjoyed the sequel too! Yeah it did drag on a bit and it did not seem to know when to end. I did like the twist although it make me a bit uncomfortable when it first happened, but appreciate what Naughty Dog were going for and that was most likely intentional on their part.

@JechtUltima It was getting all upgrades that took more time rather than collectibles and thank god for chapter select for picking up the collectibles too!
Just finished The Last of Us Part II. Playing it for myself after watching the story months before that I can now see how much better could've been. Really disappointed in the characters that are just cannon fodder. No real purpose.
If I have to measure the disappointment I would put The Last of Us 2 together with Game of Thrones Season 8.
This is my opinion only. I have waited to express it only after I have played the whole game myself.
I only would return to it just to make some amazing screenshots
I give it 6/10 only because of the amazing graphics and world building.
... Can't say I thought much of it to be honest. Not that I was particularly impressed or interested when it was first revealed but... Yeah I didn't like what I played of it at all.
A shame but oh well... Not too big of a loss either

@TheBrandedSwordsman Finished RE remastered yesterday. An enjoyable blast from the past. The fixed camera angles got me at first, I was continuously trying to scan the area until I remembered... But at least using thumbsticks was better than the original D pad tank controls. I wonder how much has changed from the original PS1 game? I remembered the ending and some other bits, but not all of it... But I guess it is nearly 25 years 😁
Just started Until Dawn.... Looks really excellent, the presentation, atmosphere, graphics, gameplay. I'm only at the very start but think I'm gonna love it. I think it's the closest I've experienced to playing "in a movie", very cinematic.
@bluedex Yeah Until Dawn is a ridiculously easy yet still enjoyable game, definitely an interactive "movie" experience.

I’m still going with Ghost of Tsushima and it’s a great game but bloody hell it’s long.
I think I’m 50 hours in and have done two of the three main act 2 missions but still a good third of the map to clear in that region, plus whatever else is to do after that!
I can see why it was in up there with TLOU2 for GOTY but there is a lot of repetition.
Started Watch Dogs 2 yesterday, probably got about 4 or 5 hours in. I fancied an open world game set in modern times and it seems good fun. Still a surprising amount of people playing it too, must've had interactions with atleast 10 or 15 other players in that short amount of time, which when you consider the age of the game its a good sign that its worth a play.
@Thrillho I'll be starting it in just over 2 weeks, can't wait. I don't mind a bit of repetition as long as there are varied activities, I'll just bounce between them.
You can never tell whether you click with a game until you play it but what with everything I've heard this is as sure-a-thing as they come for me I reckon. So much so that I wanted to play something 'significant' (a classic, or soon to be recognised as such...) for my 50th Platinum and I've picked Ghost.
@Kidfried yeah it seems to be a bit of a hidden gem, I think so many people were put off the franchise by the original Watch Dogs that few people gave this one a chance.
@Kidfried 🤣 every relationship has a breaking point huh!
In fairness though, I am actually considering returning to it. I have quite a few games on my trophy list at a low percentage completion... and now that I'm into the whole trophy hunting thing, these unfinished games frustrate the hell outta me.
@Jimmer-jammer@Th3solution@colonelkilgore I am currently playing through Control and with the auto aim it is manageable but harder than the Uncharted games, loving it so far - gameplay, story, setting, everything. Especially enjoyed the first plot point about how you become the new director of the Federal Bureau of Control

@TheBrandedSwordsman a mate of mine has just started it too and he's really enjoying it also. It really is a quality game, I've got the PS5 version (PS+) so I can replay it some point... and I'd love a sequel.
