@CaptD Thanks Captain! Will keep those teachings in mind đ«Ą.

@CWill97 congrats on youâre latest two plats, you gonna be sticking around for a few more indies or going back to the AAAâs?
Edit. @Sorteddan too, sorry bud I missed yours initially⊠had a quick look on the store for the game though and was on a steep sale (& looked quite cool) so picked it up. How long did the plat take out of interest?
@colonelkilgore
It wasn't a game I'd ever play for long periods - more a 5 minute blast type of thing when I couldn't think of what else to do. Though obviously runs took longer after I'd I unlocked more stuff and was better able to make more progress through the stages. Profile counter says around 6 hours though I would have thought I spent a bit more time on it than that. Maybe 8-10 hours.
And thanks.
The best thing about it may well be the song that plays on the title screen. Not sure what that says about the game.
@colonelkilgore Appreciate it! Iâm actually debating that. I will be playing Yakuza 4âs main story though before I decide if I want to platinum it first or something else. Iâd prefer to work on it little by little like Iâm doing with FFXâs sphere grids (biggest grind of my life). Though Yakuza gets addicting once you get on a roll. So we will see!!
You always ask about me. Iâm rude not to ask about your trophy adventures! My bad there! Anything youâre up to?! It doesnât have to be a platinum journey. Anyone can answer that btw. Itâs always fun to hear what everyone else is playing!
I've got ME2 to play at some point this year so really need to make time for that. The first one was a really positive experience and it sounds like #2 carries on the same quality.
@CWill97 nah, if anything Iâm probably the rude one for being so nosey bud đ .
As for me, Iâm pretty notorious for my long-term planning in terms of whittling down my backlog (or my attempts to anyway), so I always have one thing or another on the go. Iâm currently scheduled up until the end of 2025 đ€Ł!
About halfway through The Surge 2 at the mo (and absolutely loving it⊠a very solid souls-like in every respect that matters) and will be moving onto Diablo 3 later this month.
The platinums really arenât that hard. If you mix up your party enough then youâll get most of them in ME1.
I guess one piece of advice would be with regards to âparagonâ and ârenegadeâ, i.e. being an all-out good or bad guy. Most of the time in dialogue options, things on the left of the wheel give you more info about the topic youâre on while the ones on the right move the conversation on. On the right, youâll normally have three options, the top being paragon, middle neutral, bottom renegade.
You build up paragon and renegade points through the game. Having a high(er) level of one can unlock dialogue to get you out of situations, sometimes quite important ones, so the game can punish you somewhat for not going all in on being a goodie or baddy.
Thatâs the main reason I ended up playing ME2 so many times. Feel free to play it how you like and most of the time being full on renegade will get you out of trouble just as much as being an absolute angel the whole time.
And you can still be a bit of a d*ck at times to people and get away with it
Great news everyone. I got the Hardcore Risette Fan trophy on Persona 4 Golden on PS4. This is my fourth time attempting to get the Persona 4 Golden platinum but I've always messed it up because of Hardcore Risette Fan. Now I have it and the rest of the trophy list is just admin so it's pretty much just waiting for me to finish it.
What an achievement. This is basically like that story about the man and the whale, except I uppercutted the whale into the next world and the entire town threw a feast for me in celebration instead of however that whale book ends.
Good show @johncalmc I didn't have too much trouble with p4 golden on vita but it does seem to be a problem with quite a few people judging by the trophy guide sites. God bless the RNG gods.
@bentleyma Well done on your plat, Cyndi Lauper would approve.
Three Platinum trophies in one month has to be a personal record lol. I'm honestly not even actively looking for games to platinum, these are just coming naturally to me.
Anyway, I really enjoyed getting the Platinum in Spyro 2. It only took me around 9 hours to do everything and while most of the trophies are about doing side objectives in the levels, they were still fun to do. I did have to use a guide from time to time, but other than that the trophies are straightforward.
Congrats @LtSarge I enjoyed Spyro, didn't play them back in the day despite having a ps1. I enjoyed the mini flying games, I would imagine those were a nightmare on ps1.
Recent plats for me...
Journey to a savage planet on ps++. I enjoyed this and an easy platinum but does have a few coop trophies.
Demon's Souls remake. Not quite there yet as I need another playthrough but I have all bar one trophy. Excellent remake and despite completing this twice before on PS3 the game still kicks my butt.
Platinum failures...
Moss psvr1. Had to complete it without dying which I did but trophy didn't pop and there isn't a stat indicator to show when you have failed so stuff that platinum. Fab game though, nightmare platinum.
Horizon FW. Managed to get all trophies bar the melee pits which was typical Guerilla guff so gave up, felt like i was playing mortal combat with the button sequences. Will return in a couple of years for Dlc and ng+ (I normally like to have a long break before ng+)
Congrats and commiserations @CaptD! Must be infuriated about the Moss one having done what you needed⊠and I totally get you on those âem]Horizon Forbidden West[/em] melee pits, they were a nightmare! Well done on Journey to the Savage Planet and Demonâs Souls though⊠and that run through for the final Demonâs Souls trophy can be done super quickly. Iâm sure it took under an hour đ
#59 Hogwarts Legacy - Pretty much knew this was going to be a good one but actually exceeded my expectations. One of the strongest parts of the game is the exploration which it easily delivers, there's no end of interesting places to discover inside and outside the castle. There's also a really cool combat system that looks like it scales nicely through the difficultly levels. It's more than enough to keep you entertained throughout and I can easily recommend this to anyone who loves a good open world game.
I'm also considering myself quite lucky that the trophy relating to the collectibles popped as some of the in game counts for those items are slightly out. Thank Sony for trophy tracking though as at least I could see from there how many I'd got left to go.
@render
Oh nice one. Well done on that one.
As someone who has never had any interest in the Potter-verse I can't imagine I'd ever feel like playing it. Good to hear it found its mark with you though.
