Topic: The Trophy Discussion Thread

The Commander Niall trophy is bugged for me in Elden Ring, I don't have the desire to play through it again to get that, especially as it's a boss that takes time to get to. Congratulations to everyone else.

Platinum #82 - We Were Here Too - much like the original, a decent little co-op puzzler.

@colonelkilgore Congrats on that one 👍. Doing well racking up a few coop trophies lately. Was it local or network?

@Bazooka Hadn’t heard of any bugged trophies in ER. That’s unlucky. Guess you don’t have a backup save you can restore?

Yeah me and a mate had been planning on playing Operation Tango together since it was on PS+ last year. We kept putting it off for whatever reason but once our schedules eventually aligned we quite enjoyed it, so looked for some similar games. These We Were Here games aren’t quite as good for me… but still a nice change from the norm.

Hey all, looks like this place is still popping trophies like no tomorrow. Great to see.

After a March where I didn't finish any PS games, I got a couple early this month.
#96 Sleeping Dogs DE (PS4) - this was a great openworlder that Square should bring back. Loved it. My fav part was the whole VHS aesthetic riffing on Enter the Dragon on Zodiac Island, absolute brilliant stuff.
#97 House of Ashes (PS5) - the best Dark Pictures Anthology game so far from Supermassive, and I've enjoyed them all. This game is a looker, the lighting and shadows is fantastic. Story is a great mashup of The Descent, Aliens, The Strain, and some Lovecraft. The Quarry can't come soon enough and The Devil in Me releases later this year also.

@WCB congrats buddy… I’m a huge Sleeping Dogs fan, so I’m glad that you also enjoyed it. So good!

I also recently bought all of the Dark Pictures… games, so I’ll be looking forward to finally getting to House of Ashes.

@WCB Nice work 👍. I haven't played either of those but they sound good and always meant to get around to checking out the The Dark Pictures games specifically.

Platinum #83 - Maquette - good little puzzle game that has a pretty cool usp in fairness.

Platinum #84 - Sega Megadrive Classics - a nostalgia filled trip down memory lane that my inner 14 year old was going giddy for. Some decent challenge there on a few of the challenges/trophies too 😅.

@colonelkilgore Congrats mate, you are a machine. I really liked Maquette, it was a little janky in places but generally thought it introduced something a bit different. I was half way through the speed runs when I started something else so didn't get back to doing them but I should finish that one off.

The mega drive classics must have been a real challenge too. Perhaps one day I will check those out 😀

@colonelkilgore @WCB thanks alot, it's definitely the plat I'm most proud of, I only have 8 but most are on chunky open world RPG's. I really enjoyed getting the plat for this one though.

@colonelkilgore I did 2 playthroughs an almost absolute blind one and a walkthrough guide for the second to get the plat and after my first playthrough I thought I enjoyed the game but after using a guide and going through everything I missed in the first playthrough I realised I didn't have a clue what I was doing first time round and missed so much important stuff 🤣 there where side missions that I didn't even realise where side missions!! But man this was some game, the setting, the play style was just so amazing. This game is like 7 years old and you wouldn't think it, flawless almost on the ps5, puts a couple of newer games to shame.

This is my first From Software game and it has definitely giving me the bug for more, I have Demon Soul's already purchased so that will be getting played soon and I also have Mortal Shell and Nioh (even though i know their not From Software their supposed to be similar i believe) on ps plus so tempted by them. Elden Ring will be later in the year.

Cheers @render, yeah Maquette was very unique fair play… the speed runs are pretty achievable once you have the lay-of-the-land too, so deffo consider them if you’re at a loss for something to play. The Megadrive Classics list included loads of really easy trophies in fairness… but there was the odd one or two which caused some difficulty. Also, there’s a trophy for completing all game challenges (there’s 20… some of which are pretty tough) but the trouble is that it’s glitchy af and you can lose the progress if you don’t get them all done in one sitting 😅.

@MaulTsir that's an excellent shiny to have on your list. I only managed to beat it once and was just relieved I'd got to the credits on a From game so credit to you for putting yourself through it.

@WCB lovely double. It's been years since I played Sleeping Dogs, did enjoy it though from what I recall. Have also been keeping an eye on the other as I do enjoy some horror games. And yeah the big hundred on the horizon for you.

@colonelkilgore damn! You just going for a rate of one everyday this week, it's stunning to keep up with your exploits. I've got Maquette on my PS+ to-do backlist, how long did it take? did it need a guide or is it simple enough?

@MaulTsir yeah it’s a fantastic game game… was always my fave game until recently when it got nudged off the top spot by Elden Ring (it was the game that got me into platinum hunting too funnily enough). Well enjoy your future forays into the worlds of From mate, they’re fantastic.
