@Sorteddan cheers buddy, I’ll be slowing down a little at least… don’t think my 43 year old thumbs can take it 😅.

Maquette was pretty quick tbh. Played it through blind first which probably took around five hours or so… and then the speed runs probably took another 60-90mins. I had to watch a guide for a few of the speed runs, just to be sure that I was using the most efficient routes etc.

@Sorteddan cheers pal, yeah after I first completed the game I was just relieved to get to the end, there was a few fights in my first playthrough that I really hated, but it left me with a bit of a hole and I felt like I missed alot. There is a fantastic walkthrough on YouTube and he seems to do all the From Software games and honestly it made it alot easier second time round plus I got to enjoy alot more stuff I first missed.

@colonelkilgore it's definitely giving me the bug for more mate, i even managed to snag all the trophies for the DLC, that Oprhan Of Kos fight was intense but I persevered long enough to pop that last trophy! I am looking forward to giving the other Soul's games a go but after a well earned break, I've had enough sweaty palms and high pulsing heart rates to last a life time.

@MaulTsir yup Orphan (& also Ludwig) is damn tough! Wait until you meet a lil’ lady named Malenia from one of your future From escapades 😅

@colonelkilgore Lol can't wait! Although my biggest challenge was Bloodletting Beast in one of the false depths, mate he took some beating!

@Kairu I would have to say its hard to disagree with you there, I would only edge God Of War and Witcher 3 infront because of the story's but for gameplay and style I don't think I played any ps4 game or ps5 game as of yet that can compare

@MaulTsir one of the many things I love about From games, we all struggle with different bosses. I had an absolute nightmare with the amygdala in the Chalice Dungeons. Felt like I was banging my head against a brick wall all day.

#117 A Plague Tale: Innocence (PS5)
decent enough game. Good story, well realised characters and looks great in places.
Took a couple of hours to gel with the gameplay - too much stealth/sneaking for my liking but glad I stuck with it.
Another game cleared from the backlog.

Well done @Sorteddan, was a little less stealthy towards the end tbh but I get you. Congrats on knocking another one of the list 👊

@colonelkilgore
Yeah I made peace with it and when I got the skill to knock helmets off with stones it became open season. Also it did make sense for the narrative that Amicia wasn't just a one person army destroying beast from the off.
Thanks btw.

@Sorteddan Well done on that one. That’s another one of the games I’ve played and just need to go back and tidy up the trophies. Going to do that one day but will have to do that before the next instalment.

The activity cards make finding the missed collectables nice and easy, I thought they were implemented excellently... And if you were missing chapter specific trophies they are all on YouTube vids showing exactly how to do so. I had around a quarter of collectables missed after first playthrough but using these meant I had cleaned up everything in about 2-3 more hours.

Speaking of backlogs, another one marked off.
#98 Tomb Raider DE (PS4) - what a spectacle of a game, so many big set pieces, and for an early remaster of a PS3 game still a looker today.

Another one closer to #100 @WCB 👏. If that’s your first of the rebooted trilogy, the sequel is even better imho… very good blockbusters of games.

WCB

@colonelkilgore yep my first, I'm very much looking forward to the next two when I get to them.

Yeah. Pretty much same to you then.
You have in mind what #100 is gonna be?

@WCB Well done 👍. The entire trilogy is enjoyable in my books.

#327 A Way Out - Playing It Takes Two made me want to try the previous game from Hazelight, and while of course being inferior, the game was very enjoyable. Cool story, cool characters, and cool gameplay mechanics that would be expanded in It Takes Two. I now played every game from Josef Fares and this guy is a genius. Brothers was already a beautiful game. I really can't wait for what comes next.

@Cornaboyzzz Congrats 👏. Still hoping to finish that one myself but my wife wasn’t so taken with it compared to It Takes Two so we parked it.

@Cornaboyzzz good to know Fares’ previous efforts also stack up pretty well against It Takes Two. The missus (& I in fairness) really enjoyed that and she is already missing our weekend co-op sessions, so I’ll suggest A Way Out for sure. Well done on yet another shiney pal 👍.

Platinum #85 - Transistor - such a good game. A massive step up from Bastion for me… and I’m pretty excited for Pyre and Hades off of the back of it. As playable as anything I can remember playing of late!
