ScarletSpidey

@Keith_Zissou I'm on the last mission of Chapter 3, though might make a detour to the Collector to get the backpack cover. (I hope that's not a spoiler? I don't know how to do the spoiler tags. Sorry!) I only get to play a couple of hours a week so I'll be on this for ages.

@Thrillho I missed this one it seems, congrats bud… it takes a good chunk of time and a fair amount of skill from what I gather, so well done.

@Keith_Zissou
One hell of a week. Congrats. Played Concrete Genie and The Last Campfire myself and remember being charmed by both, although I thought the last part of CG didn't really fit with the rest of the game. Haven't heard of sagebrush but I'd take slightly dull for a couple of hours for a platinum. I have to do slightly dull for many hours to make a living!
And good luck with REVillage, may be a slight change of atmosphere compared to those!!! Gaming is great, isn't it.

...And while I'm here. Platinum number 108 just earned for a game that yesterday I didn't know existed. Bunny Raiders (PS5). Was in voice chat with a mate, he was looking at the free to play section of the store and said 'oh, there's one you might like'. He was wrong, it's pretty much jenk!

Though simple enough twin stick rogue like structure with little to recommend it aside from the speed and ease of getting all trophies -got the first at 13:8pm an the last at 15:29pm. And the game is only around 400MB so if you cut out the making coffee and standing in empty rooms waiting for health to regen then you could probably download and plat it in less than two hours... I wouldn't though, but I did - So what, it's my life.

@Keith_Zissou Congrats on those latest plats 👍. I played the last campfire with the kids and for someone who is generally immune to this stuff I found it quite an emotion ending. My daughter said “this music makes me feel so sad” and was sobbing her eyes out. I don’t think she understood what the game was trying to say but it obviously did it’s job regardless. A really nice little game though.

@Keith_Zissou concentrating on Horizon Forbidden West atm mate… and really enjoying it too. Then I think I’ll slip a wee palette cleanser in straight after to ward off any potential open-world fatigue from effecting even one iota of the enjoyment that I know I’ll get from Elden Ring.

@Keith_Zissou I’m gonna be just as envious reading everyone talking about their Elden Ring exploits in the coming days and weeks tbh.

Not entirely sure about what I’ll be slotting in between HFW and ER atm. I probably ‘should’ play God of War: Ascension as I really want to have the back-catalogue wrapped before Ragnarok but I’m thinking I’ll be better off picking something a bit more serene (like a Telltale, or a point-and-click etc.).

… and yeah Donut County is certainly daft… I did find it surprisingly satisfying in a kind of ‘bubble-wrap’ kinda way though. Congrats on its plat.

Bazooka

I'm currently trying to plat RE7, I finished the game back on release, but felt the urge to run it again. Currently doing Madhouse but getting burnt out playing Mia on the ship as the four legged mold can one shot you and I have no weapons minus the bombs.

@Keith_Zissou Boom, there goes another one! Well done 😀

@Bazooka Good luck. I really enjoyed RE7 but not enough to go through the Madhouse run.

@Keith_Zissou I’m probably not even halfway through HFW’s platinum yet bud… and it’s just one of those games that I want to see through before I get sidetracked. It’s just getting better, the further I get too.

What with the performance issues that Elden Ring is sporting atm, I think it’s gonna work out well for me. I’m hoping that a patch or two by the time I start it may produce a solid 60 fps. Having said all this though, I’m fighting an almighty urge to abandon my plans and just get my Miyazaki on!

@colonelkilgore I do have a habit of making people squirm. Usually from being uncomfortable.

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

Having interacted with you a fair bit this last year or so, I totally get that… you can be extremely creepy 🤣

@Keith_Zissou I'm doing cleanup after finishing the story. A lot of stuff to do as with all open-worlders but seeing the end now. As for the game, I think the story was very good and the gameplay really does hold up. Square Enix has a great IP they need to bring back. It's definitely great value for the price it goes for in the sales. I'm playing on PS5 and it is one of those games that warn that it might not play properly but the only trouble I had was when I went to continue the game from the menu early on it crashed 3 times in a row. Other than that it has been playing fine.

@Keith_Zissou @WCB yeah Sleeping Dogs is so worth picking up in a sale… a really enjoyable open-city crime-fest!

Th3solution

So I completed all the Dirt 5 races and now left with the grindy trophies. Ugh. Thankfully I was able to squeeze out the 30,000 point Gymkhana event. Now just two left — Getting up to level 50 (shouldn’t be a problem since I’m already 45), and the stupid 1000 miles (sitting at slightly over 500 now). I took the advice of this thread and tried one of the Playground courses designed to just let the car drive itself while you leave it alone — I rigged pressing the accelerator with some scotch tape 😅, but after I went and exercised for an hour and came back, my total mileage had only gone up by around 60 miles. 😣

I might need to find a different track that has a faster car, but still… I hate to leave my console running for 5-6 hours like that.
