@Elfuggingjefe I’ll definitely be posting thoughts and experiences on W3 when I give it a retry. Not sure when that will be though. Could be early 2026.

@Werehog yeah, I don't think the fact that everyone has had 'black friday sales' for the past 2 weeks helps, its just a staggered price rotation event at this point, i've noticed some items on amazon that were cheaper a few weeks ago, they went up, and now they are on black friday discount at a higher price than they were before. Ridiculous practices all based on algorithms, no doubt. But as more people are lured by the 'event' they aren't aware they are actually being exploited. People are just a number, and if more people buy during the sales, they can get away with small incremental increases on old items to cover any actual sale items due to the sheer mass of spending.
All true, sadly. Rather than encourage me to participate in the "event" anymore, what this actually seems to do is prevent me from spending any money September through early November, because you know that's when everything's being hiked in preparation for eye-catching discount percentages. To me, making people hesitate on any purchase feels like a counter-intuitive business move but hey, I don't have one of those fancy business degrees, so what do I know?
@Th3solution I very much enjoyed your TED Talk, too! Could have done with a nice PowerPoint, though. One with lots of Comic Sans font, ClipArt, and silly transitions.
In all seriousness, it illustrates why we can't have nice things any more. At the first hint of success, concepts get run into the ground, to the point where everybody starts to become sick of 'em. I suppose discounts are different (not everybody can afford to disengage) but I do know a couple folks who actively avoid the whole Black Friday season 'cause they don't wanna encourage it. They're of an older generation who still complain about Halloween being "imported from those bloody Yanks", though.
My biggest pet peeve is when writers put we/us/our when writing opinion pieces.
In our personal opinion, we completely agree.

Seen a couple folks mention Astro Bot and while I can't speak for American prices, any Brits who might be interested should know that, while it's only been discounted to £42.59 on the PS Store, Amazon are currently selling a bunch of physical copies for £34.
