What the actual *** is going on with ps4 prices, used consoles are over 300$ and new ones are over 470$, these are for the SLIM NOT THE PRO WHICH IS MORE EXPENSIVE!!!!!
I
get we are on a chip shortage, but jesus fking christ how long will this sht continues to last?
The new gen have arived for nearly two years now and the old consoles are MORE expensive than they v ever been, looking at prices month after month, they still increase!!!!!
God damn **** like is why people want hardware to die and we go to full streaming games
I feel so sorry for anyone looking to buy a console today, paying ps5 msrp for a damn ps4, What a stupid reality this is.
Reminds me of about 6 months ago when none of the local stores near me had any new DS4 controllers. At an independent store i was offered a used DS4 for $60, the price of a new DS4. It looked like a dog had chewed on it so i passed. 2 or 3 months laterTarget had a few new ones.
Ps4 and PS4 controllers have been out of stock where i live since the beginning of 2020 , when i got my ps5 i went to gamestop in a mall the next day to trade in my pro and controllers and guess what ? someone was on the phone asking if they had any ps4 controllers . it’s ***** .
and ps5 controllers are overpriced trash that only lasts 3 months , so not only is hardware hard to find but they’re flimsy and overpriced . i’m about to be on my FOURTH ps5 controller because of these garbage analog sticks
@KilloWertz I’ve gone through one DualSense already and the second one is starting to very slightly drift on the right stick. Had the same issue with my Switch controllers.
@nessisonett it is said some of the new dual sence colors models have a new design that fix drift, i can't remeamber which of them but i remeamber the blue and purple ones have the new design, look up tronicx fix video on YouTube for full details
@RubyCarbuncle Do you play FPS or any multiplayers ? Shooters and fighters on a daily will wear out the weak analogs . The drift isn’t egregious but it’s there , and once it happens then it’ll get progressively worse in due time . it’s not like people are completely destroying the sticks out here , it’s that it’s legitimately flimsy .
it can’t be me because this wasn’t an issue with ps3 or Ps2 controllers , ps4 somewhat but with the dualsense it’s just bad
with my original dualsense , what tore it up was metal gear reveangence (via ps now ) it’s a hack n slash that’s very demanding of the sticks , especially when trying to break free of enemies grasp . but guess what ? my ps3 controller was fine though & i played it with an xbox controller too - no problems .
@nomither6 I play FPS yes but not so much multiplayer though. Perhaps I was a bit rude and should have made my point clearer, what I mean is it's not true when people say they don't last long. I've been playing games like Returnal and Doom Eternal with my launch Dualsense and it's still going great but maybe I was lucky? who knows. I wish I could say the same for Switch Joy Cons because I had to recently replace a launch Joy Con there after it became unusable due to how bad the Drift became. As for Dualsense I recommend one of the new Colours such as Cosmic Red or Galactic Purple as the Springs in both the shoulder buttons and Thumbsticks are stronger with those.
@RubyCarbuncle i'm still using my original dualsense that came with my ps5 and there is nothing wrong with it..also the ps5 is supposed to have horrendous coil whine which i have yet to encounter (i feel as if i am missing out on this so i can complain like a big nancy too)..and if ps4 prices are really this high i'm selling mine right now as its in mint condition and the dualshock 4 works a treat..i'll take £450 for the ps4 and £50 for the dualshock 4..
@Northern_munkey Yeah admittedly this is why I've been stocking up on the newer Dualsense Controllers just in case I do start to experience Drift. I can't believe we're even talking about Drift with Playstation Controllers at all now tbh but there you are and it just goes to show that everyone can make mistakes at some point despite what people have to say.
@RubyCarbuncle maybe i've been lucky too but i've had zero console problems ever since i ditched the xbox 360 and switched back to playstation..sorry my first ps3 had a dodgy bluray drive which i got replaced but since then everything has been fine so thats about 12 years or so with zero defects..i'd say thats pretty good going..
Sony is really having trouble producing hardware lately. I went into a Walmart today and saw a bunch of Series S consoles, a bunch of Switches, including Lite, V2, and OLED models, but the Playstation hardware cabinet was a barren wasteland.
