$289 for the OG ps4 & ps4 slim (refurbished or used), 500GB at GameStop. That's in the US, i forgot this site is usually EU/UK users, tho.

War doesn't determine who is right, only who is left.

That's ridiculous. I would expect to pay that for a new Console not a used one. No wonder Gamestop Stores are closing down everywhere including my area which is a real shame because the Staff in my local Store are really nice but those Prices are just outrageous. CEX is the same and I think it's just a matter of time before they close down too.

@twztid13 The prices are getting worse each passing month, here in the middle east used slim ps4 is 350$, and new ones are about 490$, we used to buy new consoles at msrp but since 2021 prices have increased month after month.

@Z390 Relax it's nothing personal I've had it happen to me several times, it's likely most of us have. If anything I learn what can and what can't be said.

@RubyCarbuncle go to ebay and see used ps4 prices, all are above 300$ and stil increasing, its getting absurd, supply shortage is getting so much worse that we pay more than msrp for last gen consoles

@Z390 New PS4 Slim price is still about £260 - IF you can find one. As for a new Pro? Looking well in excess of the PS5 RRP!

We got a used, boxed PS4 Pro from CEX for my son at Christmas (couldn't find a new one for love nor money) Externally it was in A1 condition and all was well until he started playing on F1 2020 and 2021 and the fan went into turbo-nutter mode. I know some people have said about the jump-jet take off loudness but I'd never heard it (mine's very quiet even at 4 years old) until he started with those games in particular. I can only assume it'd had a hard life and have since taken it in to our local PC repair shop where, for £45, they disassembled it, cleaned out all the innards and reapplied new, better thermal paste . We now have 2 almost silent PS4 Pros in the house!

Neither do prices. If anything, Sony should be happy to keep selling a console at the same price it was sold when released, instead of trying to bleed the fanbase out.

@avatarian We are discussing secondhand prices of (in the PS4 pros case) A retro console that is no longer manufactured. Sony doesn’t really have any impact other than their inability to manufacture enough PS5 to satisfy the market. The slims price hasn’t changed new if you can find one.
