@themcnoisy Thanks man, I eventually realised what it was I was doing wrong! Sometimes it can be really hard to tell what is going on out in the field when you're playing Road to the Show. I've finally found holding L2 lets you track the ball but then you can't see your guy.

I am awful at stealing bases as well

@Thrillho me and you both bro. I haven't started 19 yet but I maybe stole 2 bases in 35 hours of 18! The Show 19 will more than likely my next game once I finish off a few more Trophies in Fist of the North Star so once that's done we can run some Trophies together.

So we have finally reached the point where the Lord of the Rings films are old enough that they are no longer being used in the designs of the video games

i knew this day would come but i'm so used to the film designs now it strange to not see it

@FullbringIchigo It's crazy to think how old the films are now (which makes me feel old). They're such iconic designs.

So I've dabbled with HDR on a few games, and I'm not entirely satisfied with the results. Plus it does this annoying thing when a trophy pops up the screen goes black and the sound cuts out, which doesn't happen when it is turned off. Not a huge problem but has meant I've missed bits in cut scenes. I've tried mucking around with various picture settings but I'll be leaving it off from now on.

@RogerRoger I assume it is because my ps4 is not the pro version, so every time a trophy pops up it thinks it is non-hdr content. Or something like that. For films and tv hdr with 4k is stunning. But for gaming just hdr seems a bit of an acquired taste.

So guys tomorrow is N7 day, EA just said a bit back that they're looking to do more remasters.... Is tomorrow the day?!!?!! 🤔

@RogerRoger Yeah that is what I'm thinking. I've not played a game where I've noticed a vast improvement yet, so I'm gonna leave it off for now.

@FullbringIchigo Imagine a Witcher 3-esque game set in the LOTR universe. Why hasn't this happened yet?

@Octane Or even better a LOTR game done in the style of Knack. I'd buy the ultimate edition of that.

I've started to notice some drift in my left stick (my character will ocassionally slightly judder to the left when I'm not touching anything), but I think it might just have some dust, so hopefully I'll be able to blow it out (it hasn't been a problem during gameplay yet, so I'm not yet too worried about it).

@RogerRoger, I've had it for just about a year. I blew into it this morning and it didn't show up today as far as I'm aware. I'll keep an eye on it, though.

I went onto Game on my lunch and they had God of War marked as £39.99 or £49.99, it wasn't in the 'Hits' packaging, but still what a bunch of fleecers. Won't be using them again, not that I did but I have used them online for a few bits over the years.

@JohnnyShoulder the only time I go anywhere near the place is when there's some kind of exclusive steelbook. I've still not forgiven them for ruining Gamestation

So "Game" (name is a bit on-the-nose, no?) is the European equivalent of Gamestop, right? The big gaming chain that ran everyone else out of business years ago?

@Ralizah I think Gamestop is its parent company, years ago it was called Electronics Boutique and then Game. At the time we also had Gamestation which was a vastly superior store offering great trade in deals and new games, unfortunately Game bought it and effectively turned it into Game 2 and ruined it in the process. For some reason it took them a few years to realise it wasn't financially viable to run 2 competing brands often in the same locations as one another, (I even saw them literally over the road from each other) and they eventually closed what was left of Gamestation and Game has limped on ever since one bad Xmas from disappearing completely

@carlos82 Remember before Electronics Boutique when they used to be Future Zone? I'm guessing Richard O'Brien threatened to sue them, or at least play his harmonica in store until they changed the name
