I like the site, and I am actually eager for Push Square to adopt it. Loving the notifications part, and the forum feeds are still there if you put your cursor on "Forums". Don't think that works on mobile, though.

Very happy with the change. Need to work on updating my game collection.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

I don't mind it, don't use it but had me a gander. The only thing I'd say with the layout on this site is that when you start reading an article and then the advert in the middle of the page finally loads and throws the scroller up/down it can be irritating to lose where you were.

Since I use manly my laptop, the new layout make it looks like a 4:3 thing on a 16:9 screen with white bars...

Praise the Sun, and Mario too.

I generally read every article, only skipping the occasional football game here and there, so this "topics" shift is kinda redundant for me (and I guess many other users) since the topic I am interested in is a broader " gaming with Sony consoles".
I would love to be able to switch to a more traditional blog layout, like they did on Kotaku when they tried out new styles...it's probably just personal taste but with information sites I like things pretty minimalistic.

@Feena: You can opt between grid and list views. The list view will give you a more "blog-like" format.

Definitely hear what you're saying with regards to the topics feature; obviously you can still read everything and still use topics, though. I'm massively into, say, horror games - so while I'm into reading about everything we publish, that would be a topic I'd follow for example.

Of course, you can ignore it if you don't want to use it.

I rarely go on NL, but visited yesterday, and thought I'd put in the wrong URL. Gotta say, I didn't like it, but I'm not one for fixing what I don't really consider broken, and I wasn't there long, so whatevers coming I trust will ultimately be an improvement haha.

Just had another look, yeah its not so bad, gotta have those articles ordered by list, though.

@get2sammyb: thank you for taking the time to answer. Just wondering: the option to choose the list view style is going to be in my account settings? Can't find it on NL >_<.

@Feena

The option is to the right of every section header. There will be a little drop down button to the right that says "Tile". Just click on it to change to "List".

So at the beginning scroll down from "Top Stories" until you get to "Latest News" and look to the right so you will find it. Do the same for all the other sections as it seems to be handled individually. Hope that helps.

@sinalefa: Thank you so much, I totally missed those buttons! And yes it's much more enjoyable this way for me so this was super helpful!

My biggest problem was that all the admin stuff was moved, so I had to redo all my bookmarks

I really dislike it. Nintendo Life and Push Square are two of my favorite sites. Since the switch at NL I find myself wanting to visit it less. I get that it probably suits phones, but for people who don't have a phone like me, or just generally browse on PC's, its just kind of ugly and cluttered. Not looking forward to the change coming here.

@Arckadius: I can understand making sites more suitable for phones especially if that's the majority of how your traffic is viewing your site. Even if you think about it this day and age people use the Internet now probably on a mobile device especially if you have a job without access to a PC. Heck my PC died more then a year ago so now the only way I can use the internet is with a mobile device.

Unfortunately it's just a case of going with the majority.

However you can switch to the desktop version by going to www.nintendolife.com/desktop

@get2sammyb: Things like clicking on a topic doesn't bring you to the latest post anymore, or how the latest articles aren't displayed on top, no ''previous'' button on the forums anymore. They're all just small unnecessary changes really.

Hey, will topics roam across sites? I'd love if, for instance, we could make a feed for all our news from the NLife trio of sites. I have an Xbox One and 3DS and like hearing about retro video games, and I would love if I could get a comprehensive list of news about those topics and nothing else. Any words on that possibility? I use Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge across my devices, so RSS feeds can't even get half the job done.

@get2sammyb - I hope it's not in the pipeline to be honest. I'm not a fan...

Having now spent some time with the site changes, I definitely am in favor.

Gotta keep it in LIST view though.
