Topic: How long does it usually take for a System Software update to leave beta and be available to all?

So my SSD 1TB from WD arrived today. It's honestly sad that I can't be botheresmd to delete HALF my games to install Cod Cold War (bought on last sale) because I want to try Zombies and finish the campaign lol
But anyway I see on reddit that it's been roughly a month since all the SSD talk started appearing and the Beta came. So...how long until I can install this bad boy? lol
The only thing I'm hating on PS5 right now is the constant install/delete of games. I know 1TB will fill pretty quickly but it will make it slight more bearable since I don't usually play more than 10 or so games at the same time (don't kill me). I just can't afford the 4TB or 2TB right now in my life, so the 250 euros 1TB was already a stretch.

I don’t think they announce dates. My guess is in about 3-4 weeks from now…

I’m just guessing. Maybe it will be sooner. I’m assuming they’ll be making sure they are satisfied with ssd performance before recommending any brands.. Hopefully September!

@Niko001 they already recommended some brands, though! I bought the same one as Mark Cerny, but I really wish they would just unlock it!

In the same boat. Been sitting here for weeks now with my stick in my hand...my SSD, that is. Kind of annoying to have to continue to wait even though I was a beta tester many many years ago and signed up for this beta as soon as it was announced... If I had to guess (or hope), it will be released next week amidst all the PlayStation showcase news ...
