So I got a controller that doesn't like to charge. I have one working USB port which Im getting a extender for and a working android charger. But the controller wont charge. I have swapped out the charger port in the controller with other ones but to no avail. I've also swapped ribbon cables and other battery's from controllers, still wont work. Should I replace my charging port and the battery or just leave it be? Resetting it doesn't work either.

@shadowmozez If you've swapped out the controller's port, cables and battery, and it still doesn't work, then it sounds like there's a fault elsewhere in the controller's hardware. Which will be impossible to diagnose, unless you secretly work for PlayStation tech support.

Don't waste your money on spare parts. Save it and buy a new, working controller.

The reason why the handle can't be charged is that the lithium battery has been discharged for a long time. You let the handle connect to USB and charge on the host (five or six hours). The red light in front of the handle will flash when charging, but it won't flash after charging! In addition, long press the PS key to see the power and status of the handle!
