Nobody Wants to Die (PS5)

$6.24/£4.99 (-75%)

Nobody Wants to Die is a thoroughly enjoyable sci-fi detective thriller. The gameplay during investigations can feel a little perfunctory, but the narrative unfolds at a brisk pace, and the developer makes smart use of visual trickery to convince you that the game is much bigger than it actually is, presenting you with unforgettable future cityscapes that are perpetually out of reach. It's all an illusion, but a beautiful one.

Patapon 1+2 Replay brings together the first two titles in this cult hit series, and it's arguably the best way to play them. A combination of rhythm and real-time strategy that remains unique to this day, Patapon is a compulsive and satisfying blend. You'll never escape the music once you start, and with charming art and a huge amount to see and do, this is a very easy game to fall for.

Persona 3 Reload (PS5)

$23.99/£21.99 (-60%)

As far as faithful remakes go, Persona 3 Reload is right up there with the best you'll find on PlayStation. The original Persona 3 is an undeniable classic, but Reload greatly improves the experience by modernising its turn-based combat and expanding its storytelling. What's more, it's an utterly gorgeous revival, boasting incredible art direction and some of the most stunning presentation you're ever likely to see in an RPG. A must for existing fans, and for newcomers, a perfect introduction to the Dark Hour.

Resident Evil 3 (PS5)

$9.99/£8.74 (-75%)

A PS5 upgrade was never going to restore all of that cut content, but Resident Evil 3 on Sony's latest system is at least the best way to experience it. With extremely fast load times and impressive ray tracing support, this more action-focused entry shines with solid combat and fun environments. It's still far too short, but Resident Evil 3 is worth a playthrough for survival horror fans.

Sea of Thieves (PS5)

$19.99/£19.99 (-50%)

Sea of Thieves is a brilliant shared world online experience that delivers on the fantasy of being a swashbuckling pirate. You and your crew of buddies man your very own ship, and must scour the seas and numerous islands for buried treasure before cashing it in for upgrades. However, it's never quite that simple, as other online crews may hunt you down, and reanimated skeletons and ghosts will aim to put an end to your quest for loot. Immensely entertaining with a group of friends, this is a fresh and engaging online realm that's always evolving.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance (PS5)

$17.99/£14.99 (-40%)

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is hard to fault. We can take or leave the story, the platforming is occasionally frustrating, and levels can outstay their welcome sometimes — but that's basically it. This is otherwise a brilliant 2D action platformer that looks gorgeous and plays even better thanks to kinetic, satisfying combat that feels superb when you get in the flow. If this is any indicator of SEGA's other upcoming franchise revivals, we're in for some good times ahead.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds (PS5)

$41.99/£38.99 (-40%)

Some small gripes aside, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is a rock solid kart racer that carves its own path. The dimension-hopping races are fun, varied, and fast, and the robust customisation allows players to really tinker with how the game feels. With energetic action, a good range of race types, and plenty of post-launch content on the way, this is an entertaining entry for casual players and hardcore Sonic fans alike.
