The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles PS4

$15.99/£13.19 (-60%)

Set long before the events of the other Ace Attorney games, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles turns back the clock to the 19th century. Focusing on the journey of rookie attorney Ryunosuke Naruhodo (ancestor of Phoenix Wright) and his friend Herlock Sholmes, this duology of games plays similarly to the rest of the series, but sets itself apart with a fresh setting and characters. On top of that, it features some of the best cases and storylines in the whole franchise. If you enjoy this quirky courtroom drama series, this is definitely worth playing.

The Last Guardian PS4

$9.99/£11.99 (-60%/-50%)

From the team behind ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, you shouldn't overlook The Last Guardian. This third game in the loosely connected trilogy has just as much heart and impact as the others — not to mention one of the most technically impressive AI companions yet seen. Playing as a small boy, you and a large, mysterious creature called Trico must escape from a crumbling, enigmatic place full of dangers. The bond you'll form with Trico — who gradually learns to trust and listen to you more as the game goes on — is unlike any other in video games, leading to an incredibly emotional and touching adventure.

Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter PS5

$29.99/£24.99 (-50%)

Trails simply doesn't get much better than Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. This is a full-on remake of Falcom's very first Trails title, rebuilt from the ground up to be what is easily the series' best-looking instalment to date. Borrowing the hybrid combat system of later Trails games, it's got some of the most refined gameplay mechanics in the franchise, blending a classic JRPG foundation with modern sensibilities. A perfect gateway to Trails as a whole.

Two Point Campus PS5

$4.49/£3.74 (-85%)

While predecessor Two Point Hospital went straight for the nostalgia of PS1 classic Theme Hospital, its successor has a little more identity of its own. Two Point Campus is all about setting up your own award-winning academic institution – except in typical tycoon style, some of the career choices are a little less common than what you may find at your local college or university. Adapting that classic park builder spirit into an all-new scenario, this is practically essential for fans of the genre.

Vampire Survivors PS5

$3.99/£2.79 (-20%/-30%)

Probably one of the most moreish games on the market, Vampire Survivors is a fascinatingly fun roguelite. With attacks firing off automatically, all you have to do is avoid enemies and survive each 30-minute round, gathering XP and leveling up your abilities as you go. While it doesn't look like much in static screens, it'll surprise you just how chaotic things can get, and building your character to become a literally unstoppable force is satisfying every time. The sheer amount of unlocks and secrets to discover means practically every run gets you something, too. We can't recommend this one enough, but be warned — you might never play anything else again.

We Love Katamari REROLL + Royal Reverie PS5

$7.49/£6.24 (-75%)

We Love Katamari REROLL + Royal Reverie is the best version of what is generally considered the best Katamari title. That being said, if you own the original and are looking to buy it just for the Royal Reverie content, its extremely short runtime makes it hard to recommend for that alone. However, for anyone who hasn’t played this weird and wonderful game (or series) it’s a definite recommendation – and a game with an extremely fitting name.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty PS5

$19.99/£22.49 (-50%)

Team Ninja puts its action RPG experience to good use in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. While it shares some of its DNA with the Nioh series, this game makes enough changes to stand apart. With a heavier emphasis on parrying and poise, the combat is intense and frantic, though no less challenging. Based loosely on the famed Romance of the Three Kingdoms, you'll team up with many legendary warriors as you fight against an evil force. Once you get used to this game's rhythms, it delivers some truly satisfying action.
