Octopath Traveler II (PS5)
$23.99/£19.99 (-60%)
Octopath Traveler II is a borderline must play for fans of more traditional Japanese RPGs. It's built like a classic but with modern design elements, resulting in a refined role-playing experience. An engaging turn-based combat system and a frankly gorgeous visual style make this a seriously impressive sequel.

Paradise Killer (PS5)
$4.99/£3.99 (-75%)
If you're looking for something wildly different, Paradise Killer is a fantastic option. This game places you down on an open world island in order to solve the mystery surrounding a mass murder. The hook is that the end result is entirely of your making; you're free to explore, talk to suspects, and find evidence, with no hints other than your own discoveries. More than any other detective game, this one gives you total agency over the investigation and the trial that follows, with full responsibility for tracking down the truth resting with you. A fascinating, well-written game that oozes with style to boot — especially on PS5, where neat DualSense use and ray tracing bring the island alive.
Pumpkin Jack: New-Gen Edition (PS5)
$5.99/£4.99 (-80%)
Heavily inspired by classic PlayStation properties like MediEvil and Jak & Daxter, Pumpkin Jack is a delightfully old-school style action platformer. Featuring colourful environments, responsive controls, and simple combat, it's the kind of lighthearted fun that's all too rare these days. Playing as the titular Jack, you traverse through Halloween-themed locations, engaging with spooky baddies and solving some straightforward puzzles. It all comes together to deliver a solid experience that harkens back to a simpler time, and we mean that as a positive thing.
Remnant II (PS5)
$12.49/£9.99 (-75%)
Remnant II is better than its predecessor in basically every way imaginable, but an even bigger focus on procedural generation brings with it some baggage. Navigation is more difficult than it needs to be, while the UI leaves a lot to be desired. In the heat of the action, though, Remnant II is a great, satisfying shooter that allows for lots of different team compositions through deep character customisation. Get a few friends involved for some online co-op fun and you could have yourself an all-new obsession.
RoadCraft (PS5)
$25.99/£22.74 (-35%)
RoadCraft takes the intricate off-road fun of MudRunner and SnowRunner, and melds it with involving micro-management and building aspects, resulting in a fantastic experience that's the dev's best vehicle sim to date. With eight big maps full of ruined environs and treacherous conditions to contend with, a huge array of complex vehicles to master, and co-op play to maximise the fun of it all, this is a big old blast of a thing, a huge sandbox that's got excitement, depth, and challenge in spades.
Sonic Origins (PS5)
$8.99/£8.39 (-70%)
If you'd rather imprison small animals inside your robot army than get your Mega Drive back out, Sonic Origins is the game for you. This retro collection brings all four of the hedgehog's major outings together — that's Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD. Sporting revamped visuals for HD displays, a new mode that makes things easier with unlimited lives, the ability to save your data, and a museum packed with interesting behind-the-scenes artwork, it's a great overall package. Brand new animated cutscenes tether all four games together, and there are even some brand new Blue Sphere puzzles to enjoy.
Squirrel with a Gun (PS5)
$6.99/£5.59 (-65%)
Squirrel with a Gun is a chaotic time that is always looking to place your rodent in the most insane positions to make them look like an action movie star. It is quite janky at times and can wear on you fast, so we don’t necessarily recommend trying to knock all of its content out at once, but for a side game that you can go to when you need a break from everything else, Squirrel with a Gun is worthy of your time.

I've actually been waiting on Remnant II to go on sale for a while now. Might have to pick that up.
Not worth the wait and definitely not a next level sale.
@r1chard pretty crap sale as usual
Same usual deals on same usual games. Pass
A poop sandwich
Baladins is on sale, gonna grab that and see if it scratches even a portion of the BG3 itch. No combat but has local multiplayer.
Already own the only 5 games on the list I'm interested in. The rest are all a hard pass for me.
Nothing really stands out for me on this sale. Already played a couple of these
All that drama just for the same old same old. Thought we were going to see games stuck at certain sale prices drop lower.
If you enjoy roguelikes/lites and/or beat-'em-ups, Absolum is also in the sale and is a very easy recommend. I got the plat a few months ago and want to do it again on the PS4 version at some point it was so good.
Slay the Spire is incredible, if you didn't pick it up on PS+ Essential a few years back. Get hype for the sequel, which has been blowing up on Steam early access.
Those would be my to recommends not also addressed above.
Trails in the sky HD deluxe for 50 dollars is a very good deal, go for it guys.
Trying to think of a worse way to organize these than Alphabetical and I can't think of any. Even Random would be more fun.😂 Though I suppose if there's a game or 2 you're looking for by name. I usually just put those on my PS Wishlist and wait for the notification to pop up. 😁
Still waiting for DQ7 Remake sale
This sale was pretty trash unless you are a brand new gamer.
Ebola Village is 50% off
@wildcat_kickz do it..its an awesome game and so much better than the first which was great fun too. Need a co-op partner then gimme a shout as there is so much left for me to discover and re-discover in this gem. Not sure if it's pro enhanced though but it dosnt matter as it looked nice on the base ps5 anyway.
Laughable discounts, really...
@wildcat_kickz came to say what @northern_munkey said. A great game, with great DLC I never finished but one that I keep on my dashboard to run around in from time to time.
@ErrantRob @Northern_munkey Ok, I'm sold 😂
You can pick up demon souls ps5 from cex for £20 these “sales” are usually dreadful compared to second hand physical copies
@Boxmonkey Conversely, I went to buy Doom The Dark Ages from my local CEX in the new year and it was €60. Instead I bought it digitally on sale for €26. Other random examples of the current sale - Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 - €45 from CEX, €35 in the PlayStation Store Sale. Expedition 33 - €55 from CEX, deluxe edition from the Store is €47.99.
I still buy physically (Pragmata, Saros, Nioh 3 all on my coffee table on disc), but the fact is 85% of software sold on PS5 is digital, and if you can track down a disc, it's not always cheaper.
So no, they're not usually dreadful vs. a secondhand retailer that's got a very limited set of locations. In fact, they're frequently better than CEX pricing.
A Short Hike is a nice small PS1-like throwback.
I picked up Rogue Trader for $20! 🤑
As mentioned above: these prices at Amazon don’t feel as a sale at all.
@MrPeanutbutterz yeah, but you can sell/trade in physical when you’re done with them
@rat-paradise Yeah that's part of the reason why I still buy physical (Saros has been sold since my other comment).
But it can reach a point where the saving and convenience of digital overridrs the resale value of a disc. With Doom The Dark Ages for example, what I saved buying it digitally was more than what I'd claw back at the time via resale, and now it's way more. So chasing that disc wasn't worth it in any way at all.
@MrPeanutbutterz agreed there are exceptions for sure, I do occasionally buy digital if there’s a good deal, but try to avoid it. Gotta say I do like the process of changing the discs too personally
@rat-paradise Yeah honestly I'm just enjoying the fact that we're still in the "in between" phase where buying physical is still a thing, and can often find good deals on both.
Ah the ritual of swapping media - I'm sitting in a room with a hi-fi and more than 2,000 CDs right now, so I feel that for sure.
