Zombie Apocalypse Hits The Playstation Network This Week

Zombie Apocalypse Is About The Zombie Apocalypse.

Zombie Apocalypse Is About The Zombie Apocalypse.

So it’s a dual-joystick shooter involving zombies; pretty much the absolute biggest cliche you can muster in this generation of video games. Still, Zombie Apocalypse looks pretty darn fun. Nihilistic Software have confirmed via their blog that the hordes of undead will rise on the Playstation Store from this week for just $10.

We’re looking forward to checking the title out.

Zombie Apocalypse – Because The World Needs More Games Featuring Zombies

Zombie Apocalypse Is About The Zombie Apocalypse.

Zombie Apocalypse Is Surprisingly About The Zombie Apocalypse.

Zombie Apocalypse is Konami’s latest nod to the argument that video games are relying on the old fashioned zombie a little too much. Once a rarity in video games, the Resident Evil effect has since decided that virtually every game is worthy of their own seperate zombie section.

Cue Konami’s take on the zombie in Zombie Apocalypse, a PSN shooter akin to Smash TV.  The downloadable title includes seven environments (55 levels in total, which act as days) that are heavily inspired by zombie film masters; Romero, Fulci and Boyle.

The game will feature four playable characters, each capable of wielding 10 different weapons. PSN support will allow for four-player co-op online, no word on whether it will be playable locally too.

It certainly sounds interesting but we can’t help but feel a little burned out on the whole zombie grindhouse lark.
