Absolutely, We'd Love More inFamous. This Year? Hmm, Even Better.
The US-arm of Playstation The Official Magazine has hinted that inFamous 2 may make an appearance before the year’s out. A feature in the magazine apparently “spills the beans” on three of the hottest sequels in 2010, naming inFamous 2 as one such game.
The magazine suggests that the game will “[pick] up a significant time after the first game, offering a reshaped metropolis”. Of course, Sony were quick to shootdown rumours, offering a simple “no comment”.
We kinda know the game is coming, but it’d be a surprise if it landed this year.

Sounds Like Online Is Definitely Coming To inFamous 2.
Sucker Punch has listed a host of new job positions on their website, presumably in relation to inFamous 2. The positions listed include a concept artist, game designer, texture artist and – most interestingly – a network programmer. The job position for network programmer requests “professional candidates to implement the on-line component for our forthcoming AAA title.”
We wonder how they’re going to put online into the inFamous franchise. Hopefully it won’t be the obligatory deathmatch stuff, and instead some form of “changing” open-world setting. That would be cool.

Sucker Punch's Bad Ass Super-hero Property Is To Get Free DLC Next Week.
Sucker Punch’s super-hero open world romp, inFamous, has now sold over a million copies in the US. That’ll be music to the ears of the small team at Sucker Punch, who are hopefully already hard at work on the follow-up.
And with the excellent sales news, comes details of a new super-power. The “Gigawatt Blades”, originally released as a preorder bonus, will launch for free on December 10th.
Oh, and Sony also announced the game has been dropped to $40 in the USA. Hurrah.

Could You Imagine If inFamous 2 Had A "Live" Online City, With Players Dropping In & Out?
With the recent recasting of Cole McGrath, it certainly seems likely that Sucker Punch are currently working on a follow-up to their hit open-world title inFamous. Even more interesting though, is the company’s posting of a job position, which requires a network programmer who has “experience building on-line components of video games.” If Sucker Punch are making inFamous 2 and hiring a network programmer does that mean…?

We Could Really, Really Get Behind An inFamous Sequel Y'know.
Oh Twitter. How we love it when people publicise to thousands of followers news that shouldn’t yet be news. Take actor David Sullivan, who claimed on Twitter (the Tweet has since been removed) that he has an audition for the recast role of Cole in an inFamous sequel.
Actress Yvette Nicole Brown (who voiced Moya) later responded to Sullivan, claiming he “would be awesome as Cole”.
Despite Sony claiming they have no comment on an inFamous sequel, consider it confirmed.

To Be Honest This Would Probably Translate Well Into A Movie.
Alongside Nathan Drake, Sony Pictures want to bring Sucker Punch’s Cole McGrath to the big screen. In fact, they want to do it so badly they’ve already got a screenplay drafted out by Sheldon Turner. Hollywood hotshots Avi and Ari Arad are said to be producing the movie; they’re also apparently going to work on the Uncharted movie.
To be honest, inFamous could probably translate to cinema better than other video games. There are plenty of cues for action and a decent plot.
Still, we wish our video game franchises could stay video games. What next? Twisted Metal: The Movie? No, don’t get any ideas.
