#5: Resident Evil 5 on Playstation 3.
We said: “Despite initial concerns over its archaic gameplay, Resident Evil 5 quickly takes enormous strides and becomes an honorary extension to the series.”
Twiggy’s thoughts: “Resident Evil 5 seems to have dropped off the radar for most people, but I’m not confident I understand why. For me, I completed the game in less than 3 days, despite actively trying to make it last. I then went on and beat it a further three times. Interestingly, Resident Evil 5 is the only game on this list that I gave such treatment.”

Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition's Content Will Be Available As DLC In The West.
Well this is surprising. We originally expected Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition to be a completely new retail package. However, according to Joystiq the new missions and Playstation Motion Controller support will be available as DLC for European and American players.
Japanese players will get the content in a new retail box.

Sony Will Update A Number Of Existing Games To Include Motion Controller Support.
During a press conference at Tokyo Game Show today Sony announced that an updated version of Resident Evil 5 will launch on the Playstation 3 with updated Playstation Motion Controller support. The title Resident Evil 5: Director’s Cut will launch this Spring with a bunch of new features alongside the new Motion Control support. Which we actually think will make the game a bit easier to control y’know.
LittleBigPlanet will also be updated with motion controls, providing a Super Mario Galaxy style second controller option, aswell as hopefully speeding up the level creation process.

Capcom Claim That Albert Wesker Is Gone For Good.
[Spoilers for those who haven't played Resident Evil 5] Excuse our scepticism but despite what anyone in Capcom says we refuse to believe we’ve seen the last of Albert Wesker. When asked at a Comic-Con 2009 panel about the possibility of a Wesker return, producer Masachika Kawata claimed that the pantomime villain’s days are over.
“Even if you want Albert Wesker to come back there is no chance of that happening,” Kawata told the audience. We’re going to just outright say that we don’t believe him. If anyone can survive falling into a volcano and then being hit dead on the head with two rocket launcher rounds, Wesker can.

Take A Look At The US' Top Selling PS3 Games For 2009.
What’s up Playstation 3 owners who care about sales? We have a bit of treat for you this morning. It involves sales and statistics compiled by the lovely folks at Gamasutra. Most specifically they are looking at the Playstation 3’s best selling games so far in 2009. Please note these figures are correct in terms of US sales.
Exclusive title Killzone 2 sits atop the Playstation 3’s best software sales charts. It edged out both Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter IV who respectively took the second and third spots. Killzone 2 is estimated to have 750,000 copies in the US so far. Sitting in fourth place is UFC 2009 Undisputed which has been somewhat of a surprise hit since its release earlier in the year. Rounding out the sports title interest, MLB ‘09: The Show took fifth place.
Interestingly the XBOX 360’s chart consisted of similar titles, with the only Microsoft published title – Halo Wars – taking fourth place. Nintendo’s top five consisted of the usual suspects – Wii Fit, Wii Play and Mario Kart Wii.

The Godfather II Is Coming To Playstation Home.
We have to admit, Playstation Home is beginning to motor now. After an initial “there’s nothing to do”, it’s looking more and more likely that there’s something for everyone to do, even if you only spend 5 minutes or so doing it.
On its way to the service today (April 9th) is another new space. This time a The Godfather II themed area. And guess what? It has a full Texas Hold ‘Em mode, which EA are actually encouraging people to come and play dressed up as their favourite celebrity tonight.
The Resident Evil 5 homespace will also be updated today, featuring a souvenir shop for Chris and Sheva clothing and a new minigame.
Finally, European t-shirt design/manufacturing company MySoti have teamed up with SCEE to bring their users designs to Playstation Home. The way MySoti works is this: a talented graphic designer creates a t-shirt design, users vote on whether they’d buy it, if it gets added to the production line the designer makes a commission. However, in this Playstation Home partnership, the t-shirt will also be available for purchase from a store in the service, meaning the designer will get a cut from that also. Pretty neat.
